Questions re my application

Post by london2017 » Thu Apr 28, 2016 4:39 pm

Dear everyone,

Just a few questions.

I have applied via NCS Fulham and Hammersmith on 22 Feb 2015. The lady who did my checking my application was quite in a rush, did not check my appliacation through properly and was extremely unkind ( rude). When she made copies of my documents, I witness that most of my documents was copied half . Half I could barely see the passportcopies which she copied my passport.I know most will say that I should just wait and not worry, but I feel in my soul that I wish I had gone to another NCS that would have been more kind and helpful when checking my documents to send off my application. But, the NCS in Hammersmith, Im not happy with at ALL HOW THE LADY at the NCS in Hammersmith dealt with my application.

Case:
ligibility criteria: 11 year + 1 year ILR = ( Applied in November 2014 for ILR)
Language criteria met: ESOL - met previous ILR application
Nationality: Namibian
Method of application: NCS Hammersmith and Fulham
Date of application: 22 February
Payment method: Debit card
Date of receipt by UKBA: 1 March
Date of acknowledgement: 1 March
Date money gone off account: 1 March
Date of letter requesting biometrics: 1 March
Biometrics done: 3 March
Date of approval: Awaiting
Date of ceremony:
Date applied for passports:
Date passports received

Questions:
1 I was in a civil partnership with an EU national. Civil partnership in November 2011. But sadly the civil partnership was dissvolved in December 2014. Partnership broken down due to domestic abuse I have recieved by my EU National. I did not report it to the Police and did not tell anyone because I loved this person and thought the abuse will stop but it hasnt. So, both decided to dissovled the partnership. I got my ILR, in February 2015. My ILR application was approved withing 2 half months.

My Question is; Will this dissolve of my partnership has affected my Naturalisation application?

2. NCS - As the lady at the NCS did not make copies properly off my passport. Is this going to affect my application?

3. English requirement. I advised the Lady at the NCS that I have qualified for the english requirement after 2013 when, I applied for my ILR in November 2014, do I need to send evidence of my English test result and she said yes. She send of my ESOL English test certificate, although I have ticked the box on the application that I have met the english requirement in 2014 when applying for my ILR?

4. Life in UK test - My name is A AND MY surname is B. When I did the Life in Uk test, they printed this on my test results.
Name: B
Surname : A
They swab my name and surname. When I applied for my ILR, the lawyer said it okay and should not be a problem. Of which it hasnt been because I got my ILR with no complications. I have heard many horrid stories where I heard application shas been declined for little small reason where the name has been swapped on the test reslt for Life in UK Test. Does anyone knows, if this going to be a problem for me now that I have applied for my Naturilsation?

5.Ex partner name: On the application they asked me what my name of my ex partner. I have forgot to fill this in on the form. Is this going to be a reason to decline my application?

My Immigration history.
I have never been declined to extend any of my visas in the UK. Always been legal within the country and abide by the immigration and countries rules and regulations.
Never been into any kind of trouble.
No debts, not on any benefits.
Very good character - Work as a senior Phlebotomist in a leading private hospital. Good salary. Private medical insurance. Ect. Taking part in many charity events. Helping with the homeless and volunteer on my days of at local food banks.
Not been out of the UK, in the last 12 years more than 35 days.

The answers might to my questions might be straight forward but Im having sleepless nights over them.

God bless.

Good luck to those who are waiting for their outcomes. I pray to God in Heaven that my outcome will be a good outcome.

If HO take issue with the quality of documentation it is surely a matter for NCS as the council is some sort of agent for HO in this context,
Although, did you not mention your concern at the time?

There is probably some feedback procedure you could use to express your concern/dissatisfaction with NCS F&H if you wish to do so.
They are OISC-registered so you could contact OISC as per the NCS F&H website:
https://www.lbhf.gov.uk/births-deaths-a ... itizenship

1) All that is required is ILR which you have.

A relationship status of any particular sort is not required for naturalisation.

2) If HO have queries on your information (whether passport or ??) they will surely follow up, in writing, with you.

3) Should have been enough to tick the box.
Assume NCS knows best and leave it at that.

4) Not sure.
Why has this name issue not been addressed before?

5) It is probably not a mandatory legal requirement to name an ex-partner; I do not see this as a show-stopper.

Be aware, this application is likely to take time, months.
You can track other members' timings in one of the timeline threads. Your mileage may vary ofcourse.

Try to relax, put it to back of your mind.
You already have a complex job in a challenging environment so you need to look after you whilst waiting for this to work through the system.

On point 4 : No issue with your name on LIUK certificate. The 'name swap' is a common occurrence with LIUK.
