I am quite confused Help me plz

Post by hamuuda12 » Wed May 24, 2017 4:22 pm

Hi All,

This is my first post and please bear with me if this seems like a silly question but I have been reading so many posts and UKBA website that my mind is all frazzled now.

I am a British citizen and my husband is from Ethiopia. I live in UK and my salary is £17,500 annually and savings of £5000. Does that mean that I meet the financial requirement?

Thanks in advance

Only savings over £16,000 will be considered to make up any shortfall.

You are currently £1,100 short of meeting the £18.600 p.a minimum income level

The first £16,000 is disregarded so you would need:
£1,100 x 2.5 = £2750 + £16,000 = £18,750 in savings which have been held in an accessible account for at least 6 months

The savings can be held either by the applicant, the sponsor, or jointly.
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
