1) Do you have something like Birth Certificates showing your parent's names, linking you two together? If so, provide them.SMOOTH OPERATOR wrote:hi Guys
my brother applied for a visit visa in lagos, Nigeria. I am the sponsor of his visit and submitted my copies of passport data page, ILR page, bank statements both mine and the mrs to proove he will no be a burden on us and that he can be accomodated, both of our payslip (8 months), Title Deeds of the property and sponsor's letter
2 of the reson for refusal were that:
1) proof was not provided that we were siblings!!!!!(i thought they sometimes carry out dna tests? why did they not do this?)
2) the payslips and bank statement i submitted were photocopies and not original!!! ( i thought thay had a way of checking if is was fake or not) where does it say the sponsor must produce original payslips and bank stmt instead of copies
in my letter to the embassy i stated that I will be glad to provide any more information from at anytime as my contact details has been made available
however we can appeal. wot do u think guys?
I don't think it should form the basis for refusal.
ECOs should not seek documentary evidence of a claimed relationship unless there are strong grounds to doubt it (such as a disparity in age that makes the relationship biologically unlikely).
