regarding accomodation before applying for family VISA

Post by yaseengani » Sun Jan 31, 2016 5:22 pm

Hi, I am planning to apply for dependent Visa for my wife and 2 daughters who are currently in India. I Just got my tier 2 visa under a new sponsor( A rated) . I am currently living in a shared accommodation.I was thinking of renting a 3 bedroom house start of June 2016 as I dont expect the Visa to come through at least till mid June if I apply by May. What I would like to know that if this is fine or should I already be living in a 2-3 bedroom house before applying for the Visa as I dont see the point renting a huge place before Visa comes through. Please if anyone could advice me on what is the best decision to make, would be extremely helpful. Plus I also want to know if I need to show maintenance for 3 of them or 4 including me.
thanks

Assuming you are applying for Tier 2 G Dependent visas.

If you are renting one room in share accommodation, this will not be suitable for wife and 2 children plus yourself.

Hi,

Unfortunately the Home Office need you to meet all the requirements BEFORE you apply for the VISA.

It's like saying that you dont need £18,600 to live on but that you'll find a job with that salary once the VISA is granted, I'm afraid it doesn't work like that because anything could happen once your family is with you in the UK so you will need to get the appropriate accommodation before you apply.
