Return BRP After ILR receipt

hi,

i have recently received my BRP as my ILR was approved. My Tier 2 leave is still valid until march next year. letter says to cut and return the BRP, is this a requirement which i must follow?

Your Tier 2 leave is NOT valid till next year as this has been superseded by being granted ILR. Your Tier 2 would have been cancelled.

You need to send the BRP back as the letter states.
