Hello,
First time poster on here. Me and my partner (who is from Kazakhstan) are planning on applying for the UK Fiance Visa very soon. In preparation for the documentation required, we noticed that their passport only contains their first name and family name, but does not include their patronymic name. This is both for the latin and Russian script.
However, on their national ID (and their birth certificate), their patronymic name is included.
My main question is, is this going to cause issues? Would it be worth changing the passport so it is reflective of their national ID and birth certificate? From my understanding, when applying for the visa, they must include the patronymic name. I am just worried that the passport won't be considered genuine by the UK home office.
Edit:
And to further extend this, I have another question. Say that the passport was modified, am I correct in saying that previous passport references must be included within the application with an explanation behind why it was modified? And would this cause any issues in the explanation?
Thanks in advanced!
