Strange Situation

Hello fellow members. I am facing a strange situation. I applied for 3 family members - 6 months visit visa application online (family coming from Pakistan). The payment went through fine. Two days later, I got the money back in my account (reverted transaction) but the online visa application ...

Re: Visit visa of brothers refused

Is it worth re-applying? Please help guys. This time there can be a different sponsor (around £10k in Bank) and perhaps get a better letter from the educational institute. The key to visa success in this area is 'reasons to return' - I'd concentrate on those rather than finances. Letter from tutor ...

Re: Visit visa of brothers refused

Brother B has just started his Chartered Accountancy last year. It will take him about 5 more years to complete. However, he will start working in home country from next year which is a requirement as part of his chartered accountancy.

Re: I will not return my BRP within 5 Days.

Hello everyone!

Update from my side:
04-02-2016: 10 Days passed since the expiry of 5 days. No fine received to date. I have received my Passport today so BRP is going back.

Yes that's correct! BRP is going back. No more 'forced ignorance' required.

Re: I will not return my BRP within 5 Days.

I know a few other people like me on this forum who need to keep their BRP (even though it is no longer valid). I do not have a choice and it is a loss for me either way as I have unavoidable travel coming up. It is either this £1000 or more than £1000 in flight amendments. (Now please don't go b ...

Re: I will not return my BRP within 5 Days.

How should I know the new rule if they do not inform me! I think this rule will not be applicable for me This quote reminds of so many people on the forum complaining about the dec 2014 rule change for overstayers. They too were saying this rule isn't applicable to them because they applied for ...

Re: I will not return my BRP within 5 Days.

@ Casa- I understand that and I am assuming that I will get my docs before that. I also completely understand that I am advised not to book travel before the process is complete as well. I am just willing to risk it based on the average timelines of other people! :) This travel was actually booked ...

Re: I will not return my BRP within 5 Days.

Just for the information of my fellow members, I want to keep my BRP as a backup for my upcoming travel in 2 weeks. I applied for my British PP last Friday so am very hopeful that I will get it before my flights. In case I don't I want to be able to board my return flight by showing my BRP and ...

I will not return my BRP within 5 Days.

Hi all, I got my certificate last Friday. 5 Days passed- DIDN'T return BRP. Let's see what happens. :) I still strongly believe that I do not need to return it because of the following: 1) I understand that I need to respect all rules and law which I always do. I don't believe that this new rule is ...

Re: Returning BRP within 5 Days

Thank you very much for your responses. The new form AN section 6.11 has a specific provision for this. I believe this that this only applies to people who have actually ticked "No" box. This way you are signing a commitment of returning BRP within 5 days. In my case, neither Home Office have ...

Re: Returning BRP within 5 Days

I have not been communicated by Home Office about returning my BRP. This was not a requirement in the form or HO guidance at the time of submitting my application. Is the onus on me to check home office website everyday?

How strong is the above argument?

Returning BRP within 5 Days
