Re: BRP Replacement, no answer - wait time 9 weeks so far

Same. Submitted my replacement application on 2 June and went to the biometric appointment on 29th June. Not heard back yet. Called HMRC and they said it could take 2 months. Some posts here seem to suggest a total period of 6 months. Hi, Have you received any further update? Thanks No I have not y...

Re: Which date to take to calculate the 28 days before application

Digging into my old documents, I even found out the actual date of the approval of my Tier 2 application to be 16 Feb 2016. Although it cannot be evidenced by my passport sticker or BRP, I have got the original letter with that date saying like this: 16 Feb 2016 Dear xxx, Your application for a UK v...

Re: Which date to take to calculate the 28 days before application

May I double check on this one please? (I have the same question in this post) When I was granted Tier 2 visa back in 2016, the issue date is just a random date when my first BRP was printed out and it was before the date I am allowed to enter the UK (i.e. 14 days before the start of my job). As th...

Re: Council Tax

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the landlord doesn't live in the room. The whole property has three rooms in total and was rented by three students, then recently one person left, leaving one room available to me. Will it help if I write in the tenancy agreement that the rent I pay should inclu...

Council Tax

Does anyone know whether council tax has anything to do with ILR or naturalisation? I am on Tier 2 general visa and am considering to rent a room now, but the landlord said the previous tenant was a student so the it was claimed to be exempt from council tax duties until Sep 2016. They said I wouldn...

Re: Restricted COS decisions for September 2015

My second essay is about nurses as I have stated in the August post. 2231.png The abnormal increase in January, Feburary, April and May for RCoS under 2231 nurses is clearly speculation action by employers, especially Febuary. I don't think it is reasonable that there are suddenly 1000 non-EU nurses...

Re: Restricted COS decisions for September 2015

It seems that the cutoff of Sept is not dependant on the number of applicants/available RCoS, but on the return of unused RCoS. I found two pieces of news from two separate law firms. https://www.kingsleynapley.co.uk/news-and-events/blogs/immigration-law-blog/home-office-introduces-positive-changes-...

Re: Restricted COS decisions for September 2015

Why the number of certificates of sponsorship available for allocation in September 2015 is 1,519? A new RLMT is probably needed in your case as it is only valid for 6 months.
May I ask why you didn't use the COS?

Re: Restricted COS decisions for August 2015

I would say the miracle 648 is definitley speculation from a group of companies or even one single company. We know that unassigned CoS will be returned auto after 3 months, meaning that these returned CoS must be granted in May. Incidentally, there is a surge of CoS granted in May (over 2k) compar...

Re: Restricted COS decisions for August 2015

I wonder why there are so many returned RCoS (648), because traditionally the number is only around 20-30 each month. According to the MAC report, there are around 2500 applications rejected in June and July. We already know there are 1325 rejected in June. That leaves about 2500-1325=1175 rejected...

Re: Restricted COS decisions for August 2015

Edit: Sorry, I'm just on edge right now. I'm incredibly worried about this and astounded by how unfair it is. I was the only person to apply for my job - even with the job posted on JobsCentre Plus and a recruiter searching for candidates, I was the only person to put up my hand. So the excuse I'm ...

Not sure if I can post a pic here.
I marked the April, and then June, July, August in red, and it shows a very clear tendency of peak April and summer times.
The original picture is from Oxford University.

Re: Restricted COS decisions for July 2015

Thanks everyone who wished us good luck, but I have to say, wishes are just wishes. Let's face the reality. Based on my analysis, I estimate the cut off for next month will be 45 again. Here is my logic: There are only 1747 COS's available in August. Number of applications scoring 45+ for June and ...

Re: Restricted COS decisions for July 2015

The fact that they are hurrying raising the salary threshold in Autumn shows that they want to get rid of applicants with lower pay. Anyway the MAC review is going to come out on 21 July, and let's wait and see whether the minimum salary is to be raised to 50% distribution or 75%, or any other perce...
