Update:
Soon after sending the application, I have written a letter to the Home Office stating the error in the application and included the P45. All were accepted without any issues.
Got the British Citizenship within 3 months of the application.

EXACTLY, I have just applied for British nationality & passport using the NCS - Nationality Checking Service. The naturalisation certificate has two numbers Certificate Number and Reference Number. You just need to write or type the Certificate Number Reference number is just the Home office ...
