British Citizenship with Driving offence DR10/IN10 within 10 years

Post by ee01es » Sun Oct 28, 2018 1:55 pm

Hi all,

My friend have committed the following offence;

DR10 = Driving or attempting to drive with alcohol level above limit
Period 36 months
Start date: 25 Feb 2015
End date: 24 Feb 2018
Fine £250

IN10 = Using Vehicle uninsured against third party risks
Start date: 9 Feb 2015
End date: 9 Feb 2018

DR10 = Driving or attempting to drive with alcohol level above limit
Period 12 months
Start date: 9 Jan 2006
End date: 8 Jan 2007
Fine £130

Would it be possible for his to apply for British Citizenship?
3 years have elapsed since the offence committed.
He has now got the driving licence.

Is it 3 years or 5 years?
Any experiences / advice welcome.

The repeat of serious driving offences may result in a refusal. Also see:

"Drink driving offences must be declared. If you have any endorsements on your
driving licence you must access the DVLA website to download and print a summary
of your record and send it with your application. A driving conviction may not be
disregarded despite any penalty points being removed from your driving licence"

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
