travelling into UK without BRP

Hi everyone,

I have recently been granted a UK Tier 2 visa. I used the ID verification app so no BRP issued. Will I need to show anything at the border when I travel back into the UK? I applied from within the UK and have travel booked for next month.

Thanks in advance.

Re: New ILR process, Time to decision

Congratulations. You should call DX. If it was approved on 6th then it is very hopeful that you will get BRP on Monday or Tuesday next week. Just received my letter saying ILR has been approved. Timeline: 22 Nov: Online application submitted 3 Dec: Biometrics and document checking at 20 Mark Lane (...

Just received my letter saying ILR has been approved. Timeline: 22 Nov: Online application submitted 3 Dec: Biometrics and document checking at 20 Mark Lane (Sopra Steria's "premium" centre) 8 Dec: Letter dated 6 Dec arrives through Royal Mail stating that a BRP will be sent to me in 7 working days....

Re: New ILR process, Time to decision

I applied on 22nd November at Manchester Central library ILR set(o) using sopra steria premium appointment.. 14 days past still no news.. Tried calling them thrice.. Its been escalated twice but still no use. My suggestion please avoid Manchester Central library branch.. That's so odd. I can't even...

Re: New ILR process, Time to decision

Did my biometrics yesterday morning, have not heard anything. I tried calling the number in this thread, no luck - they just said they don't have access to the system. I politely asked if they could take down my case number and notify the case worker - they refused. Tried on both the option 3 (ongo...

Re: Long Residence (10 years) SET (LR) applications

Thank you. It was in the North West. The staff were absolutely lovely but it’s just the unfamiliarity with the new system and unforeseen scanner break down that made it an anxious experience. On my application there was NO mandatory document requirement. The supporting documents part asked for all ...

Re: Long Residence (10 years) SET (LR) applications

I just attended my appointment today. Essentially they just take your biometrics/picture and scan your passport. There is no longer any decision making on the day unlike the old PSC system - if you opt for super priority service then you're meant to get a decision the next working day. I have, howe...

Re: Long Residence (10 years) SET (LR) applications

For anyone who has applied for their ILR with the new system: How soon can you get an appointment with the new online system? I'm taking my life in the UK test on Wednesday, and need to sort out my ILR (10 year stay route) before Christmas, as I will be travelling then and will go over the limit as...
