Naturalisation no valid passport or brp

If someone has an expired brp and expired refugee travel document, and no other passport, is that going to be a problem for Naturalisation? Thanks.

DNA procedure

Following a refused European Family Permit application, refused because of a doubt about Ethiopian birth certificates, I am looking to arrange DNA testing in Ethiopia to make a new application. Can anyone explain the procedure, as I understand that the Home Office cannot request this, so I get the r...

Does anyone have experience of getting DNA test in Ethiopia which is acceptable to Immigration? I have found Worldwide DNA, any other providers, and any tips at all please?

EU Family Permit refused - Ethiopia

Applied from Ethiopia for European Settlement Family Permit for two teenage step daughters, mother already has PSS, step father has Settled Status. Reason for refusal, recently issued birth certificates not accepted as proof of relationship. Is DNA the only solution for this? Does anyone happen to k...

Re: Asylum seeker to spouse visa

Thank you Seagul: so that seems to leave open the possibility of asylum seekers applying for family route visas, since they are not in an excluded category. Thanks very much.

Re: Asylum seeker to spouse visa

Thank you Jaune08. The link you kindly provided refers to those who have illegally employed others, rather than those caught working. However, I do agree that illegal working is a serious obstacle. That being the case, and with his asylum claim apparently still outstanding, might he not be safer to ...

Asylum seeker to spouse visa

Hi. Someone who has been in the UK for nine years, entered on student visa, overstayed three years, caught working, applied asylum in 2014, in process ever since, but has legally married within the UK to UK citizen 2015, no children, wife meets financial requirements etc: can he apply for spouse vis...

Re: Conventional Travel document rejected, advice please..

https://www.immigrationboards.com/eea-route-applications/travelling-with-immigration-status-document-only-t127822.html This old thread seems to suggest that there genuinely is no solution to this problem until Somalia either opens an embassy in the UK or appoints some other country's embassy to hand...

https://www.gov.uk/id-for-driving-licence

It is clear from this that the ARC is *not* acceptable ID to apply for a driving licence.

You need a current passport with a visa, or a biometric card, or a refugee travel document.

To confirm above, refugee settlement ILR is not affected by claiming benefits etc. There is nothing to worry about in this. Good luck, so sorry about Syria.

Asylum seeker - permission to marry - no passport

Hi. Someone who has been in the UK for six years, currently awaiting the outcome of a fresh claim, wishes to get married with a British citizen. I believe that the procedure is for her to approach a Registry Office, who will contact the Home Office for permission to proceed. But she does not hold an...

FLR FP granted without valid application!

Someone I know applied for FLR FP in the summer. It was rejected as invalid for the entirely wrong reason that applications made by a person in detention must be made in person and not by post (she has never been detained). After this was pointed out, they asked her to resubmit the application. It w...

4. No it does not. An eviction is irrelevant and not a court judgment or conviction what the form is asking about.
Thanks very much for this. That applies even if it a court ordered eviction/repossession by the landlord?

Flr (dl) -settlement

Hi. 3 questions: Someone applying for settlement on FLR DR after six years DLR following refusal of asylum. Section 2 asks which category. Is it other, and attach a letter explaining granted following asylum claim? Also, page 8 of the new form asks for only the last two addresses, however is it best...

Re: Asylum further submission

I can only guess, but I imagine that when you attend your fresh submissions appointment they will detain you. You should talk to a solicitor first. There's no point any way making fresh submissions if there is no realistic prospect of success, so check that out first.

Re: As a British citizen how long i stay outside country

It could only really be an issue if there was evidence of deception: stating an intention to live in the UK having already accepted a permanent job offer abroad, for example. I can't imagine many revocations of citizenship on that basis.

Re: Asylum Case approved and objected by the Home office

Hi. This unfortunately happens many times. The Home Office has appealed to a higher court, claiming that the judge made a mistake in the way he handled the case. First of all the court will look at what the Home Office say to decide if there is really something needing looking into. If they agree th...

Re: Desperate NEED of help - REPORTING CENTRE

It may not mean anything. I read that "temporary admission" has been renamed as "immigration bail", to make it sound more intimidating. As you say that a JR is in place, so nothing can happen until that is resolved. Good luck!

Re: WILL HO REVOKE SPOUSAL VISA AFTER ENTERED UK ?

No one here us likely to be able to say what may happen. If they informed of the fraud, they would obviously be likely to investigate. I don't suppose they would expect cctv recordings to be kept, but they may well contact the shopkeeper asking for further evidence, for example time sheets, NI/tax r...
