Guys, if you did Life in the UK test for your ILR last year, and are applying for naturalization after 28th Oct, do you still have to do the additional Knowledge of language test, or will last year's LIUK test suffice?

1 yr ILR requirement...can you apply 28 days earlier?

Just as you can apply for ILR 28 days before end of visa, can you not do the same for British Citizenship? I mean if I got ILR on 29th Oct 2012, can I not apply for BC before 29th Oct? The rules seem to say, that residence requirements can be overlooked in some cases. Also, if I have to apply after ...

Urgent-FPN for driving while using mobile phone

I got an FPN by police 6 days ago for using mobile phone while driving. I was asked to go to Police Station within 7 days (last date is tomorrow), and I will get 3 points+£60. I'm not sure if I should appeal it before Court, or just get the 3 points and pay £60? Not much chance in appeal. But if I a ...

I tried around 2.45 am. There is a slot in sheffield for 18th September (not October) only!! I thought the slots only become available for a date 42 days from now!!

SET(O) via T-1--A few questions from the Form

I am on T-1, applying for ILR next month. Would appreciate help with following questions: 1. Section 6.1 of the form asks “When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK?”. I got T-1 on 19th Nov 2007, but had been on student visa here for several years before. So, should I put 19th Nov---even t ...

Points required for ILR through T-1 (Gen)

Hi friends I am applying for ILR in October, so I was going through SET(O). My questions are 1 How many points I need to score? 2 Do I score any points for UK experience? 1 So, I can actually apply for ILR 28 days before the 5th anniversary of my tier-1 visa, even when applying physically at Public Enquiry office?

2. The 5th anniversary is 20th Nov 2012. What would be the earliest I can apply, 23rd or 24th October?

New Citizenship Bill Or Law

Hi

I have been out of touch for more than two months. Does someone know what happened to the Citizenship, Immigration and Nationality Bill. Has it been approved? Can someone refer me to a threat with proper and relevant information.

No one can obviously say anything for certain but based on my experience, your chances of success are at least 98 percent.

And you can always give new evidence before the court. You are right to believe in fairness of courts in UK.

Good luck

Hi Take it from me and I have some experience. Your chances of success are 90%. Of course the caseworker went by the book and he did what most people would have done but that doesn't mean your case is not good; just that things didn't go right. 1. You didn't have payslips but you did have employer's ...

I think the phone number is useless and so is their email. Your best bet is fax. (I can't recollect the fax No. right now). Get the fax No and call for taking postal address. Then write a letter to them. Fax it. Send a hard copy as well. Say the following points (elaborate): (1) you have been ...
