I have been with my partner for 3 years and she is British.the said in refusal letter that they can't see a reason why me and my partner can't go ...

I applied for Iltr with a solicitor and it was refused with no grants for appeal.the solisiter is asking £3860.00 to take the case further.
just want to find out if there is a cheaper way or is that the correct amount they are asking for.
