refused application

I applied for Iltr with a solicitor and it was refused with no grants for appeal.the solisiter is asking £3860.00 to take the case further.
just want to find out if there is a cheaper way or is that the correct amount they are asking for.

It would help if you explained the category of Ilr application and the reason for refusal?

Decision under partner route.

Came to the uk in 2003 on working holiday visa and I overstayed.i made an application in July 2013 under the partner route. I have been with my partner for 3 years and she is British.the said in refusal letter that they can't see a reason why me and my partner can't go and leave in my home country.

Me and my girlfriend have been living together for 3 years and we not married.she has a mortgage and we both work full time.

So whats ur status now I mean after working holiday in 2003 what other visas u had I dontthink uucan for ilr just on basis of living with ur partner u shud have applied for spouse visa and then ilr.

I don't have a visa at the moment.I applied for a student visa in 2005 and it expired in 2006 and i did apply for any visas until july2013.

my solicitor was the one who said i should apply for ilr

Well he defo advised you wrong as ur employment at the moment is not according to immigration law. U shud have been advised to apply on flr o. Now ur option is to apply for flr m from your home country or u still can try ur luck by apply flr o.

I dont understand this as well how come a solicitor pretending to be knowing immigration rules and law would advised him to apply for ilr from no visa at the momemt. He applied in july and for flr o he already got his decision its a miracle that they procesed it so quickly unless he applied on same day something for any of ilr category a month and half turn out is impossible there is something more to it his solicitor is not telling him the whole story.

my suggestion is not to waste more money on further leave. The best thing is to go back to your home country make a fresh application under partner route.
