Re: ILR dpendent 18+ child

Then SET(M) cannot be used. SET(F) is only for those below 18 years. I believe the only appropriate form is SET(O), as it covers other purposes not covered by other application forms

Re: Long Residence - Contradicting rules and guidance wording

Thanks But it is the Guidance (i.e. "for 10-year periods which extend beyond 11 April 2024, there is no 548-day limit") contradicting the Immigration Rule (i.e. CR 2.2A)here. We want to rely on both but we literally can't. I am afraid that advice on GOV.UK is inaccurate this is why you sh...

Re: ILR dependants few days short of 5 years.

The continuous residence rule that you quote either uses: 28 after the application date, the application date or the decision date. Now, even if I enrol biometrics (5 years - 28 days), she will still not meet 5 years as the application date is fixed. so the only way is to enrol biometrics close to ...

Re: ILR dependants few days short of 5 years.

That's calming, so you recommend I apply for ILR straightaway on 3rd june and delay biometrics to 10th July ( even though I will pay for priority decision ) or the other option, which is to vary in order that she applies within 28 days of her 5 year qualifying period? Why July ?? The date of first ...

Re: Long Residence - Contradicting rules and guidance wording

I am afraid that advice on GOV.UK is inaccurate this is why you should never rely on it. You should ONLY refer to the official guide and the immigration rules as explained above

Re: Long Residence - Contradicting rules and guidance wording

These still don't address the fact that its wording is totally contradicting the above-mentioned Continuous Residence rule CR2.2A, and the general information page SET(LR). So has the Home Office made a mistake or do you think there are alternative ways to interpret its meaning? Thank you. There ar...

Re: Indefinite leave to remain - finance

You can but the requirements are very specific. Both sources of income must be ongoing and self-employment requires you to submit the last self-assessment. You cannot just start some self-employment now and apply for ILR a few months later, for example. There is a whole guide on this: https://assets...

Can I still submit the 2023/2024 HMRC Tax returns document with my application or I need to prepare and submit the 2024/2025 HMRC Tax return before my biomet...

Re: Sponsor willing to provide COS but no allocation available for inside UK

Hi, I got the curtailment letter from Home office to leave the country dated 10th June. A licensed sponsor ready to provide COS but he doesn't have any allocation at the moment and the priority service is also not helping out(trying out daily). Since days are running, I'm more worried and I would l...

That does NOT apply to the long residence path to ILR. Under the long residence rules, you can leave with a valid visa and return within 6 months without issues.
