Dear moderators,

For the ILR application, do we need to upload complete copy of passport including empty pages or its just need to scan & upload the non-empty pages?

Thanks in advance!
Raj.
Empty pages of passport are useless, just stamps in the last 5 years

It should not affect your ILR. ILR for refugees will take several weeks to months, so sit tight

Re: ILR(Long Residence) eligibility concerning Exceptional Assurance

Any time spent under EA period is a gap in lawful residence as I already covered this many many times. The new rules do NOT apply to your application either as you already applied and the new rules do not apply. I already explained where the gap is and what could possibly go wrong in your case. Thi...

Thanks Zimba for sharing this. As my case is only a 23 days gaps can I just apply for ILR and then delay the biometric appointment to the daet when he will become eligible, rather than making an extension application and varying it later? Please advise? Yes, Please read the advice I already given.

Thanks for that info. I got confused from one of your replies in other post that says - "Needless to say, the qualifying period for ILR is counted from ILR application date and backwards, not from the beginning" - https://www.immigrationboards.com/indefinite-leave-to-remain/when-does-qualifying-per...

This does not affect ILR as such an offence is not recordable. However, note that the rules allow the caseworker to still refuse an application if there applicant has a pattern of repeat offence

Thank you for your reply, Zimba. I know it's a bit early, but I'm eager to plan ahead and avoid any last-minute surprises 😊. Should I consider extending my sponsorship for another year? My current visa expires on 30.03.2027, with the grant date being 26.05.2022, although I submitted the documents o...

Re: ILR eligibility - just short of 5 year qualifying period

You do not seem to understand how the lawful residence calculations work or what section 3C actually is. The date of your biometrics is not relevant much

I covered all these here: How to apply early and benefit from the date of the ILR decision ?

In addition, I found this one from governement website: check if you can become a British Citizenship: https://www.gov.uk/british-citizenship If you’ve applied for citizenship, you’ll need permission to stay in the UK until you’re granted citizenship. Your permission needs to last until you have ha...

Re: Time in UK (Affected due to COVID)

It starts from the BRP issue date for ILR. During COVID many workers were allowed to start work early for their prospective employers while waiting for a work visa but that did NOT change the ILR requirements. The fact that you started without a visa while waiting for the visa does not bring your el...
