Generally it takes about 7-8 weeks after the appeal hearing. You will either get a phone call or "Call in letter" asking you to bring your passport for the visa to be stamped.after you have handed it,it will take another week or 10 days to get it back with the visa stamped in. Did you a TB test?. If...

I think it is a bit unfair on the ECO to refuse you on the grounds, that your husbands name is not on the tennancy agreement that you have provided. How can you hubbys name go on the agreement when he is not on this country. No council will put a persons name down on any agrrement if the person is n...

I think you need to explain to us the type of trouble they may cause you and your family when these people come to the UK. I have a sneaky feeling that its due to some family dispute,or they are visiting the UK to propose for marriage, which might put you and your family in a difficult position. I o...

This whole issue of forced marriage is nothing but a devicive scheme to curb immigration by the British government. Whilst i strongly oppose any force marriage, and consider it as an evil act, these new rules will put further strains and burdens on genuine arranged marriages that usually occur in th...

A traditional asian "arranged marriage" is where the parents of both the boy and girl arrange a marriage for their children.Obviously the pair get to meet, see, talk to each other for a short period. They are then asked if they are happy to go ahead with the marriage. If BOTH parties agree, then the...

If the child came with his mother to the UK, then the father must be the sponsor as he is settled in the UK, and it was him who sponsored his wife and child to come and jointhem in the UK. So I would say the father is the sponsor because he is supporting the child. On the other hand I may be wrong,a...

The Adjuticator who heard your appeal will notify both you and the Home Office of his decision. since you have won the appeal the Home Office will be given an opportunity to appeal against the decision within 28 days of recieving the notice. It is very unlikely they would unless there has been a maj...

I think you are allowed allowed to stay up to a maximum of 2 years before you have to return to the UK for your visa to remain valid. The downside of getting a visa and then living in a forign country means you will have to stay longer in the UK when you apply for British Nationality.

It is normally valid for 6 months after which it expires and you have to pay a further 4000/Rs.
