As there are no immigration controls between Jersey and the UK, you will not be required...

Re: tier 1 2nd Extension Dilemma

you should be assessing yourself under T1 (HMSP is dead now). Hi Guys, I came to uk on hsmp in early 2008 and have extended my visa which is now Tier 1. I am in short of exactly 30 days(that is 4 year and 11 months of stay) for the ILR (as per the rules now) . Now, I am looking at the possibility of...

there exist a fixed period and UKBA will extend your visa for another 3 years and normally says whichever is longer...this will give you ample time to apply for ILR for that matter. Thanks for your reply, do you know anyone who renewed their tier 1 another time for ILR reasons? And how long were the...

Yes...70days is not a short break. As Markie has already mentioned, your ILR clock started on 18Jan08 (when you entered UK) and not 12Nov07 (when your visa was issued). regards I understand this but does this still apply even though I was in UK for 2 years before I got HSMP and only went to India to...

Re: ILR and Time outside UK

if your visa was granted 12th Nov 2007 and you entered 18 Jan 2008 then your ILR clock started 18 Jan 2008 (2nd one) - as at this date, you were physically present in the UK. I quote from the gudance notes Set (O) section 5... If you entered the UK with a visa several weeks or more after the date fr...
