Re: Wrong SOC code

He's being paid £25,100+ commissions (about £30k in total) and he is the highest paid among his peers, because others are not on visa, so they get much lower salaries. There are other issues as well. He was sponsored by lets say "company A" but on his payslips and bank statements it is company B (su...

Wrong SOC code

Hi, This is for one of my friends as I'm currently on Tier 1 E. He got sponsored by a company as an account manager (SOC code: 3545) but he actually works as a letting agent which is RQF 3 (SOC code:3544). The manager told him they can't write letting agent on the COS because it won't qualify but hi...

Re: failed degree but sponsored for Tier 1 GE

Sorry one more question.

Can the guy who is on Tier 2 visa switch to Tier 1 GE if the university agrees to sponsor him? Obviously outside the country because switching inside the UK is not allowed for Tier 2 visa holders. He graduated in July 2017.

Thank you.

Re: failed degree but sponsored for Tier 1 GE

Thank you.

But how does the investment sharing work? I thought it can be half/half or it can only be between two Tier 1 GE holders?

Re: failed degree but sponsored for Tier 1 GE

Thank you. I also have one more friend who is on Tier 2 and wants to join him as a team. Is it possible? How does the sharing investment work if one is on Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur and one on Tier 2 General visa and both want to switch to Tier 1 Entrepreneur? How does the funding work? (They both...

failed degree but sponsored for Tier 1 GE

Hello, One of my friend just got sponsored for Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur by his university. He failed his masters but he still has his 2:1 undergraduate UK degree dated July 2017. Is it possible for him to switch to Tier 1 GE? He plans to switch in December 2018 and he has visa until Jan 2019. Th...

Mid Month employee start date

Hello,

One of my employees started on July 9th. I was just wondering if I can count July for job creation. He worked for 102 hours in July and for 30 hours each week.

Thank you.

Re: Business name change

Thank you so so much. I called Barclays for the forth time yesterday evening and they finally (very nice lady) told me the truth that It automatically gets updated after 10 working days. The first 3 customer representatives told me, I need to close my account and open a new one. I'm now sure Barclay...

Business name change

Hi, I recently changed nature and name of my limited company. Today, I went to Barclays branch to report it and they told me they need to close my current business account and open a new one because they can not just change the name. What should I do? I will lose all my account history transactions....

Re: Potential Employee has a second job!

If on paper it's ok, I think I should be fine. In my previous industry, people used to work up to 100 hours a week (Investment banking).

Can I hire EU workers? Will I face any problems in 2019? Thanks.

Re: Potential Employee has a second job!

Thank you so much.

One more question. Can I hire EU workers living in the UK? Hard to find British workers in my industry. If yes, What would happen when the UK leaves the EU in 2019? Will I still get points for my job creation?

Thanks.

Potential Employee has a second job!

Hello, I'm in process of employing my first employee, however majority of applicants have already another job. They tell me they can't make ends meet on one job only. So I'm just wondering if it is 100% ok with HO if my employees have second job? They obviously will be working for my company, full t...

Re: Using Friend's office

Try to avoid these so called lawyers. They know nothing. 10 years route is not only for entrepreneurs, it's for all people who are living in the uk 10 years legally. There is already so much pressure on govt to end hostile environment and reinstate the appeal rights. But if they decide to close 10 ...

Hello, I'm in process of hiring my first employee. I was wondering If I can use my friend's office to save on costs. He has offered me his office for free for at least the next 6 months. Re: Using Friend's office

Thank you. Just wanted to make sure. I don't want to get any surprises come extension time. :) Couple of more questions please if you don't mind. 1. My business will be all cash business. In my industry, most companies operate on cash only basis and usually no contract, so just wondering if that's o...
