Can you provide some dates as to when you applied? As others have said, the reference number on the letters from DOJ are the key to finding out what is going on with your application. Applying for naturalisation and citizenship means the same thing, so don't worry there. Applications that were sent ...

Or would you consider moving to be with him for a number of months? At this stage you need to offer more evidence to show that it is a "real" marriage and not just one on paper. Going to live together would add weight to your application.

i believe the decision is made within 12 months and it's usually the refusal. then all the appeals start that take years due to the possibility to appeal higher each time the decision is negative. Bigamy is illegal in Ireland and your husband could be prosecuted under those laws. According to Irish law your husband was not "free" to marry again. I'm guessing by the law of the country he remarried in, he was either free to do so there, or didn't provide details of his marriage in Ireland. You ...

I am just sooooo frustrated with SOLVIT now. It's been a month now, and all they have managed to do is provide out of date information and ask irrelevant questions that are actually already covered in the complaint letter (e.g. have you complained to the DE embassy already, did they answer, when do ...

Does your visa sticker "must be accompanied by EU spouse"? That was written on my husbands German Schengen Visas. In this case you shouldn't be able to travel without your spouse. Having said that, any time we entered Germany we entered separately (EU and non EU queues) and an officer never asked to...

queues start before 7AM. If you arrive at 7 you should get in. Doors open at 7:30 for the desks at 8:00

Wisco: I don't think you have any rights to stay on in Ireland if you are seperated from your wife. On the DoJ website it says There are no rights of retention of residence in the event of separation/divorce. As your current rights to reside (Stamp4) were based on your marriage to your Irish spouse,...

haven't heard anything about it changing in the last few weeks. Yes that info is correct apart from the fact you have to go to the GNIB office on Burgh Quay not Garda station on O'Connell St. As you are not from a visa required country it's all pretty straight forward.

Acme: Thanks again so much for that link. I'll quote that when replying to them.

I agree it's mad that they didn't include details about family members in the new EU Visa code. It's getting more and more convoluted to try to figure out which law or code as precedence over the other.
