Re: EU Settlement Scheme - Settled Status rejected unfair rules

I called the home office and they said they will accept the proof of cohabitation before our marriage as proof of continuous relationship with me (from EU) in the last five years. One thing is the first day of the period you can show you have been living together in a relationship, with the purpose...

Re: Residence permit for my Spouse

2. My spouse clock started when we started living together, i.e. from Oct 2018. Take this with a pinch of salt. We've seen several examples of the EUSS helpline giving clearly wrong information to people, I would be really surprised if your spouse's clock truly started on moving-in date. My guess i...

Re: Residence permit for my Spouse

I came to live in the UK in Oct 2018, and we married in Aug 2020. The only proof we lived together is from Oct 2019 (as joined utility bills). We lived together in a shared house between Oct 2018 and Oct 2019 but did not pay any bills. Does it mean my spouse has to wait until Oct 2024 to get settle...

You need to prove that you have completed a continuous residence period of 5 years as the family member of your EU sponsor . In other words, your family relationship still needs to exist b...

Hi, Can you let me know that can I apply for naturalisation application before some days and pay the fee? But I will choose the biometric date after one week on the maturity date. Re: Residence permit for my Spouse

We both have pre-settlement status but my spouse has a Tier 2 visa (or BRP) which is valid until Aug 2023 and their pre-settlement status is valid until Sep 2026. As far as I understand, this is not possible. Under UK immigration rules, one can only have one permit or visa at the same time. Your sp...

I have settled status since 2020. I received my new card BRC. Given that the new card is issued to show your new status... Well, it already shows your status. No need to link it to anything. Linking only makes sense for documents that were issued outside of the EU Settlement Scheme (EEA cards or pa...

I'm sorry but the question remain the same . You are asking two completely different questions here: 1. Is Pre-settled status the same as right to reside. 2. Is some eligible for child benefits when they have Pre-Settled Status. Therefore, no, the question does not remain the same. In fact, it is s...

Re: Settled Status in 2 Days!!!! (NON - EU)

Biometrics are only required when you apply for a physical card. Settled and pre settled status are digital and don't require additional biometrics themselves. Now, if you do want a new card to show for your status, then yes, you probably need to do biometrics but having a card is not mandatory (it'...

Your current pre-settled status won't get curtailed, but it cannot be extended after its expiration date. As @secret.simon says, retained right of resi...

I think, at a glance, I understood that I needed to send original passport and/or BRC; and in the thread discussing this process, others seem to be talking about sending their card in, so I think that's how I came to that conclusion. But I'll look again. Unless something has substantially changed s...

Re: Updating Now-spouses' Settled Status: Denied... Advice

1. You don't need to send her current BRP to get the new one. You can just apply for the new one, and if you want, destroy the old one after the new one arrives. But no one is going to invalidate the old one or come after you if you don't destroy it. I was in this situation and for months I had two ...
