Re: Shocked and Disappointed- ILR application at Premium appointment centre refused

Like the others have said, it's now being processed. Well done for fighting, sometimes UKVI needs applicants to reason with them through the proper channels (complaints email etc) which you have clearly done. As far as I'm concerned the call centre is UKVI since that's the number UKVI has on their w...

@CMOSUK In case you haven't seen @Fimboz post yet (you probably already have), this is where he mentions documents he submitted.

Re: Applying for ILR after 6 years dlr

I agree with @CMOSUK. This is where covering letters are useful as you are able to explain exactly your own particular situation as there is no standard cover letters. You can explain about your kids' BRP on it or else post them as suggested by CMOSUK, make sure copies of important documents such as...

Re: Applying for ILR after 6 years dlr

In a meeting at work but I'll write more a bit later. The idea is if the info you had supplied got you DLR, then the same should be considered for ILR. In my opinion you include the same info and new info you think will help your case. To be honest my impression on this forum is people are more resp...

Re: Applying for ILR after 6 years dlr

My understanding is you only put those who are applying with you, it looks like it will only be you on the form as for the others (Wife and Kids), you're not applying for them. As far as reasons to give, it's really up to you what you feel will make your case stronger - family life? length of stay i...

Re: cover letter for application of indefinite to remain after 6 years of discretionary leave

There is no standard cover letter. You just write to explain why you are applying (i.e. 6 years Discretionary Leave to Remain), giving dates if you have them and you attach letters granting you the first and second DL if you have them, you can always include reasons why you think you should be grant...

Re: Biometric visa

As @CMOSUK has explained above, when you apply for ILR (before expiration obviously), you send your BRP in the application pack including other documents they ask on the form. Once received by UKVI, they will send you a letter to go to your local post office to enrol your fingerprints/biometrics. Th...

Employer's Checking Service while awaiting ILR decision

Is it safe to ask my Employer HR to check with UKVI my Right to Work? I had a valid DLR when I got employed back in 2016 now I'm already permanent but I don't wanna jinx my employment. In what way could it backfire? This is just to give a little nudge to UKVI to start considering my case if they hav...

Getting married while waiting for ILR

I am planning to marry my British partner in Aug this year at the Registrar's office. My ILR application based on 2x 3 years, FLR (DL), hasn't been decided yet (Applied on 12 Dec and Biometrics given on 16 Jan). I understand the registrar will need to notify UKVI but my questions are: Q1. Will this ...

Not really, just waiting to be honest. 12 April will be exactly 4 months since I applied. I'm hoping to hear something in the next 3 weeks. I mean I was already prepared to wait ~ 6 months.

Re: Flight from London Stansted to belfast immigration control

I have done Belfast-Gatwick many times between 2012 - 2017. All you would need is a photo ID, a Driving Licence would suffice if you don't have a passport. See EasyJet Link http://www.easyjet.com/en/help/boarding ... nformation

Re: Settlement (ILR) 6 days before expiry

I chose the "other purpose" reason and I just explained on the cover letter it is because i have completed 6 years of discretionary leave (i gave the dates) and i attached the two letters that granted me DLRs in my list of attached documents. I posted on 12 Dec and got the biometric letter on Jan 16...

Re: FLR DL SETTELMENT NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT YET

To give you an idea, I posted my FLR (DL) form on 12 Dec, no acknowledgment letter; biometric letter received on 16 Jan and done on the same day. Now just waiting...I consider my case to be the most straightforward!

Any more details? You can't expect much help here if you don't write about your immigration history such as when did you enter the UK and on what visa? How long you have been in the UK etc

Re: Domestic flight in uk with no passport possible?

I have done Belfast Gatwick many times on easyJet (between 2013 and 2016) and all I showed was my Driving Licence, never had any problem whatsoever. It's always best to check with Airlines anyway in case rules have been changed.

Re: Discretionary leave to remain

I think with DLR you can travel to your home country as you will need to have your country's passport (as opposed to refugee status). But as said by CMOSUK, you will either have been settled (ILR) or become British to sponsor.

@Casa post is more informative, I would have never thought they are this strict with what you put down on your application even if you do not overstay your visa!

Re: URGENT - Will my dad's visitor visa be rejected ?

Intention to stay shorter or longer is fine in my opinion, he could have stayed for 2 months instead even if you said 4 months when applying. The big deal is if he OVERstayed his visa, that to me would be more of a problem then staying a bit longer than intended (within his 6 month visa). You can al...

Re: I want to go to my country permanently when refugee status has been granted

If the grant was because of a succesful asylum application, is it a refugee status or DLR outside immigration rules? If it's the former, I think it will say "you are not permitted to travel to Pakistan" on your refugee travel document? Now you can exit the UK without an immigration stamp but now the...

Re: GOING TO UNIVERSITY WHILST CLAIMING ASYLUM

My understanding is anyone can go to university but as an asylum seeker, you pretty much have to find your own funding from tuition to living so I wouldn't expect any government or university grants/money. The only way you will be withdrawn is you not being able to have the finances as far as I can ...

Re: Applying for Asulum

Whether you are granted or not depends on many factors such as - Reason for seeking asylum (political, religious, etc) - Country of origin from which you are seeking asylum - How you got all the way here in the UK - Evidence you have to backup your asylum case etc I'm not sure you get detained immed...
