Re: Marriage with FLR FP pending

I think you can but the "designated register office" will have to notify UKVI who then might extend the notice period you give to the registrar to 70 days and might bring you in for interviews. That's my understanding anyway.

Re: Travelling to Canada with ILR or wait for Citizenship

Moderators, can I post this same question in the ILR section and delete it from the Canada Forums in order to avoid duplicates? Maybe I might get answers over there.

Re: refused case management

Not necessarily. I had posted the same thing a few weeks ago. I have applied for ILR/Settlement (after 6 years DLR, originally asylum was refused back in 2004 and I went through to Legacy Cases...) and the department that sent me a letter for Biometrics Enrollment was Refused Case Management RCM, al...

Re: Can I travel on Immigration status document

My understanding is you must have a passport or at least a travel document to travel internationally. He could apply for a passport from his embassy because I'm not sure airlines will allow him to travel without a valid passport. I think he might be required to convert his Immigration Status Documen...

Travelling to Canada with ILR or wait for Citizenship

With my last DLR, I applied for Canada visitor's visa but was declined. The reasons they gave were these: You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including: Travel History Immigrat...

Re: ILR Query

Looks like it will depend on when your husband becomes a British citizen I'm guessing. If he becomes a citizen say in May 2018, then whenever you get your ILR approved/granted, you will technically be married to a British citizen therefore you can apply for citizenship directly assuming you meet the...

Re: Is Case id and home office reference no same?

I think your reference number will not change, whereas case ID might change depending on what case you have going on with UKVI. Anyway any of them will bring up your info on their system.

Maybe I'm incorrect but that's just my understanding of it.

Re: What is the average processing time for FLR(DL) form to Indefinite Leave to Remain

I've read here about 6 months (assuming your case is straightforward). I think it helps when you have a query to browse the forum first as most queries are not new, they have been posted and answers have been given. Anyway, I posted my form FLR(DL) on 12 Dec. No acknowledgment email/letter by UKVI. ...

Re: Premium service for IlR

100% with what CMOS has posted. You use FLR(DL) if you were refused asylum and given DL instead. Anything else such as using SET (O) runs a risk. Some members of the forum have been lucky using SET(O) premium services, some haven't. I'd be on the safe side of using FLR(DL), at least that way there i...

Last time I checked you only do it once and it should remain valid whether or not they have updated the test.

I think you can only provide what you got and explain to UKVI that you can always forward it later when you get the January payslip.

Re: Form SET(O) updated to 16/01/18

You are allowed to use an old application form as long as it's within 21 days of the new coming out, it makes sense because some people will apply a day or two before they publish a new form. " When applying on a paper form, an applicant must normally use a current version of the paper specified app...

Re: URGENT ADVICE NEEDED.. PLEASE

If it was me, I'd forward this info in a letter to UKVI as soon as possible and explain like you have explained to us in a professional way. I wouldn't want them to come back to me asking questions. Just make sure when you send a letter, you include all the references such as HO Ref, Case ID, Case R...

Re: Updating address changes with UKBA after receiving ILR

On DLR, I never had to notify UKVI of any change of address, there has never been any issue about that. I think you only notify if you are immigration control like when you report to immigration etc

Re: 3 X 2DLR (PREVIOUS ASYLUM) = ILR FINAL DECISION

Thanks for the advice to apply for ACRO. I think I will do it too, as the DBS I sent with my application was clear. I never got involved with the police, only once when I was in a car accident (my fault), no one else was injured as it was in the countryside, just my car, a tree and myself. I doubt a...

Any outcome on your case?

I think mine is a bit similar to yours (3 years DLR x2), applied by post and got biometric enrollment letter about a month later.

Re: Enrolling Biometrics

Oh I see, so they haven't decided yet then even though the case is at that department. It'd be interesting to find out which department issued ILR for those who were granted ILR using the "FLR(DL) by post" route. On a side note, I have noticed this forum is mostly for Tier applications (T1, T2 etc)....

Enrolling Biometrics

On 12 Dec 2017, I applied for settlement based on x2 DLR using FLR(DL) as I was a failed asylum until 2011. I got a letter to enroll biometrics but I have noticed that it came from the Refused Case Management in Liverpool. Does that mean the case is refused? Background Asylum applied and refused 200...

Re: When is "28 days before"?

...30 | 29 | 28 | 27 | 26 | ... | 3 | 2 | 1 | EXPIRY DATE There seems to be a lot of confusion about "28 days" within expiry date. 28 days is the EARLIEST day you can apply and expiry date on your visa is that LATEST day you can apply. In the example above, if you apply on day 30 or day 29, you will...
