The main reason is we dont have the 775€ for the Spousal visa the EEAF is free, also because "we arent wanted" in Ireland we will be going to America in the near future so my wife can be near her family. I had thought about it but our plan is cemented now apply for england stay with family Save up whilst application for the us is processed. take a nice world trip on the way to the us then Eat Buffalo wings and drink Leinenkugels at the applebees. classy eh.

Yeah we are going to move to the uk with most likely an EEAF we are the same we like Ireland but we are at the end now emotionally and physically tired of the place.

I haven't read it but the missus was saying it is just a rejection letter and it goes on about not having lived in a EU member state before applying for Ireland.

I wish i could Join you guys for the protest but i Cant get out of work and im currently drafting letters to various press bodies

EEA vs Spousal visa

Hey guys im having a little trouble the EEA family permit is free and for six months but the spousal visa is £500 and last for two years. Would my wife have the same rights with both papers or is one "better" than the other? Also the british consuls can issue a visa whilst you wait is this the same...

No no refusal letter yet they sent it registered post yesterday so we are hoping to get it tomorrow or monday we are just preparing for the worst.

If we are denied i cant keep working the two jobs we both need to be working and my wife has had so many interviews and when she shows them the form they just turn there nose up plus with the Decision due today or monday there is little point applying for a work permit. Hey guys a law suit is a good idea but im in the same boat as Plassjapie i dont have a year to burn. and a courtcase is going to be at least six months upwards. then they might just adjourn the decision like they already have.

A protest is a good idea the question is how many people can we get to do it unfortunately im in cork it would take a bit of arranging to get time to come up to do it plus if there is only three or four of us it isnt going to draw much attention.

Most of the information appears to be coming back from EU compaints and Solvit so i would be keeping in touch with them they are on the inside.

So I finally got my letter from the EU Treaty Right Sections this morning after a long wait - tomorrow will be nine months since my application was received by them. Anyway - my application was DENIED !!!!! Denied on the basis that i was not resident in another EU country before coming to Ireland.....

Entering the uk

I am a UK expat living in Ireland and we are facing refusal on our immigration papers for my US wife.

I would like to know Because my wife does not have legal residence in Ireland does she have to go back to the US and apply from there or what options are open to us for returning to the UK.
