Re: British Citizenship application eligibility in May 2019

Thank you for the prompt responses. Much appreciated. On another note, how does UKVI see "to be present 5 years before the date of application"? I take date of application is the date we submit online, not the date we submit documents to Sopra Steria. Please advise if it is otherwise? Correct, date...

Re: British Citizenship application

Hi all While I am not panicking but just curious if anyone else had same situation and nothing to be worried about. Following application in May and document verification by Sopra Steria in first week of June, me and my wife both submitted our applications successfully. Last week my wife got citizen...

Re: British Citizenship application eligibility in May 2019

Thank you Casa for the prompt response. It looks like I will need to do online application on 10th May, not before that, unless anyone else can advise differently with some recent experience. How soon this new system provides with appointment? I faced bit of trouble in ILR appointment book, it used...

Re: Address Change after online Naturalisation application

Hi experts, I submitted my online application on 10th may, and got appointment for 7th June, which is tomorrow. But on 17th May I moved my house so my address is different to what I submitted my application with. As I knew about my house move while submitting the application, I mentioned new addres...

Re: British Citizenship application eligibility in May 2019

It really amuses me as why people are so desperate to get British nationality the first day they are eligible. When one is moving in 7 days and certainly nothing is done by this department (HO) in seven days obviously just stick to the new address or apply 7 days later. Im not mocking anyone for be...

Re: Naturalisation application appointments

Hi all, I tried to cancel and look for more closer appointment, but unfortunately nothing available, even I lost the one I had, so had to book for a day later now. Though I could see a few paid one's in Croydon but that would be too far to travel for me. Could you any (from experience of-course) adv...

Re: Naturalisation application appointments

If I cancel my booked appointment, would I be able to see and perhaps reschedule to any earlier date if available? Just don't want to cancel and then find myself losing out on my application. Please advise.

And any particular time I should see for any availability of cancelled slots?

Naturalisation application appointments

Hi Experts I just now (10th May) submitted my naturalisation application and as expected system redirected me to Sopra Steria website for appointment booking. To my surprise there is no appointment available till 6th June (Birmingham or Manchester), so not to miss that I booked it for now. Even paid...

Re: British Citizenship Online Application-please help

Hi all, I am about to submit my online application- and pay the fee online etc. What is the next step? Do I really have to go to Sopra Steria service, where I get an appointment so they can scan all my documents and upload them. Yes, when you will pay and submit your application, you will be direct...

Re: 10 year work history involving over 20 hours work per week

20-30hours a month isnt an issue as the students get 20hrs per week of allowed limit. So, you need to only worry if you were above 80 hours a month..and they see an average of whole year not just a month. Term times could be different for different universities depending on course structure. And in...

Employment or its proof isn't a requirement for Naturalization application. So why are you so concerned about it?

Be assured, you will get your documents back after getting them verified. With recent change, UKVI has made this Sopra Steria as standard service where you get your documents back the same day you visit for your appointment.

Re: Online application - select service

I would suggest you speak to Home Office on this or simply email them at NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk As you have still not paid, you can always re-do your application from scratch and submit again with payments. Thank you, I actually already re-did my application from scratch and ST...

British Citizenship application eligibility in May 2019

Hi Experts, With ILR granted on 10th May 2018 (via 5years Tier 2 G route), I understand I am eligible to apply for Citizenship any day after 9th May 2019. Since, there is new online system for the same, I would like to know if I can submit my online application anytime (even before 9th May 2019) and...

Re: Experiences using new UKVCAS for naturalisation/citizenship applications

What I am sensing is, this new system is ripping applicants further. They are selling appointments also. Like for ILR in person fees was £2999, with nothing extra for appointment. Now they charge £100 per appointment extra and £19.20 for biometric. And what applicants are getting in return? Is the p...
