Re: ILR application in process (postal) want to end Tier2 jo

The problem is Skc84 that you only have the right to work for the Tier 2 sponsor until the time you are actually granted ILR. Most employers shouldn't take the risk of employing someone whose conditions mean they cannot do the work in question.

See page 25 with the pictures of different vignettes. You have the vignette with your picture printed right? Those vignettes ware also stuck to A4 pieces of paper which don't expire!!! You employer can call the employer helpline on 0300 123 4699 9-5 Mon to Fri for help - they should confirm the docu...

The bit after the section you quote says: If you have to rely solely on an expired passport or travel document to show you that a person has the right to remain and work in the UK, then you must take particular care when examining photographs and comparing these with the current appearance of the pe...

Re: UKBA requesting reason to stay in the UK ???

Okay, I've read some of your previous posts. Your wife's Tier 1 extension was refused and she is currently appealing. You initially applied as a dependent of your wife who was at the time applying for Tier 1. There was no decision for two years and when the caseworker came to make a decision your wi...

Re: UKBA requesting reason to stay in the UK ???

Also, bear in mind that you would not have been granted leave as a Tier 1 dependent if the Home Office knew your marriage was not subsisting.

Have you done a subject access request yet?

I would see a solicitor.

Do you have contact with your daughter?

No the job is not suitable. I'm sorry but the minimum rates have gone up for chef roles. Chef de partie is almost certainly too junior. Only the following job in this occupation code: Skilled chef where:  th e pay is at least £29,570 per year a fter deductions for accommodation, meals etc; and  th...

I should also add, does your brother have five years' experience as a senior level chef? Getting sponsored as a chef is tough nowadays. There is a high minimum salary, £28k as far as I remember, it has to be a senior role, the restaurant has to be a top quality one cooking from scratch! no takeaways...

Re: bringing orphan child relative to UK

Hi. I wonder if someone can point me the way to criteria for bringing a dependent child into UK. My husband and daughter both have ILR and will soon get citizenship when he gets around to doing life in UK test. His brother has just died in an accident leaving two young kids in Cape Verde. Their mot...

I don't think you have anything to worry about. If it puts your mind at rest using a solicitor, I would recommend Laura Devine. http://www.lauradevine.com/index.html I don't usually do solicitor recommendations on here, but this is the type of firm that will tell you that you don't need their servic...

Re: PSW on ACCA Fundamental Papers

Well, I don't think anyone can complain that the arguments that ACCA meets the rules for PSW (as it was) haven't been examined. Just such a waste of time for so many people, for a case that I always thought was hopeless. Hopefully people will accept this judgement and move on rather than pursuing on...

I take the view that the judge was clearly correct to hold that ACCA professional qualifications are not eligible for points as "a UK recognised bachelor or postgraduate degree" under Table 10 or by virtue of the guidance. I am also not sure F acebook posts count. Call me an old cynic if you like. They should get legal advice. The US seems a reasonable choice and wouldn't be effected by regime change either. I am also aware that what is happening in Syria is absolutely horrifying and the UK rightly isn't removing peop...

Re: Spouse of a US citizen: eligible to asylum in UK?

People from Syria are getting asylum, but they can expect that if the regime changes they may be expected to leave the UK.

Better pick sides carefully, anti regime one year could be pro regime the next. Ask Libyans, Egyptians and so on.

There are also specific schemes for Syrians.

Re: Spouse of a US citizen: eligible to asylum in UK?

I'm not assuming anything. What you are talking about is "sur place" activities. The person could only be removed to a country that they are a legal resident of or are a citizen of. Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam? I'm just thinking of countries that have few people claiming asylum, otherwise I don't unders...

Re: Spouse of a US citizen: eligible to asylum in UK?

The problem is they have waited a long time to make a claim for asylum, which doesn't look good. If you are talking about North Korea, then no, the Home Office does not return people there, but North Koreans are also often entitled to South Korean citizenship and get removed to South Korea. I cannot...
