It depends on the work permit rules of the country you are currently residing.

With regards to HSMP, I don't think it will be affected by your work permit status with another country. I just wonder though if you can actually maintain the work permit status if you're not working there.

It's not just good practice but you really have to convert your total salaries to GBP because you have to check under which bracket your earnings will fall to determine the no. of points you can claim.

The conversion rate to use should be the corresponding rate of the last date of your payslip.

I haven't received my documents and decision letter from HO since they sent it out on Oct 8. If I receive it them after the 28 days deadline, can I still file for review?

Now I know why. They sent my OTHER documents and decision letter via AirMail last Oct 8 but my degree certificates (which are in frames) were left in HO. Then, they emailed me after 9 days to ask that I pick it up via courier. And I thought I will get the decision letter soon and have time to file f...

Documents pick up

HO is so weird! I just received an email from apparently my caseworker saying that my degree certificates are with her and if I want them to be picked up. I though they already dispatched them last Oct 8! Anyway, I already contacted MBE. I'm glad at least that I will get my documents soon. Will upda...

I think your bonus will be considered since it is also reflected on a wage slip. Just make sure it is also reflected on your bank statement.

Re: HSMP Approved

Hi marrik, congrats! What was the reason for refusal in your first application? What did you change for your second application? Hi all, Here is my timeline: Oct 6th: Sent courier to HO from Chennai thru DHL Oct 8th: Received acknowledgment with reference number Oct 10th: HSMP approved and documents...

Don't be afraid Vidya. It could be good news. :)

Asim, good for you, they emailed you to advise that your documents are ready for pick-up. I think mine will reach me after a month! Will I still be able to file for a review if I get them that late? We are only allowed to file within 28 days, right?

Congratulations. What were the errors in your first two applications which you corrected in the third?

Did you ever try a review in the first two?

I think your license is enough. No need to submit other documents. It already satisfies the age requirement per HO guidance. Just make your application simple.

Does a refusal of HSMP initial application fall under this as well? I remember somebody in this forum (I think it was Amanda) who said that if you submitted your passport, then it's a visa application (eg EC, FLR) but if you didn't (eg HSMP initial application), then it's not a visa application. I'm...

pinnacle wrote:purplepple,

Sorry to hear regarding your rejections. But do let us know the reason for refusal. You can always apply for review.

Thanks Jammy. I got it now.

I already talked to Fedex and unfortunately was informed that they only accept Corporate accounts for now (for our country). I guess I'll just go with MBE then.

Thanks so much for the explanation. Maybe others will be able to follow what you did.

Hi Jammy, I got a little confused with the two accounts you mentioned. Can you explain in more detail? Do you mean that the first account you mentioned is the account with Fedex, and the other one is the account needed by Fedex to charge you of the bill? If so, will Fedex automatically provide you t...

Thank you Jammy. That is very helpful. I have already made a request on the Fedex website for an account number. The details asked didn't include my credit card, though. I wonder why.

Hi moderators, please make this a sticky. I think what Jammy shared is very helpful!

Not Enough Funds

Hi ya! I need regarding proof of funds. I submitted my application for Skilled Worker category in March 2004. I submitted proof of funds at that time. In Sept 2007, I received a letter asking for updated documents, including updated proof of funds. Unfortunately, I already spent a significant amount...
