Re: Working Remotely for a Firm Based Outside Ireland While on Stamp 1G

Hi, My understanding that Revenue is collecting PRSI and USC only true the PAYE for employment income. All Ireland employers must mandatory operate PAYE, the other way is not treated as employment income. To legalese this bank income you can register as self-employment or businesses to Revenue and s...

Re: EU citizen: is it possible to work in Dublin and live in Belfast?

Hi Teresa, There something you will need to bear in mind. You will normally be required to get PPS number to pay TAX in ROI. Most probably you will be requested to open bank account in ROI. I think that ROI revenue and bank could satisfy with you NI residence address ( proof of address), but better ...

Re: Urgent! urgent ! Spouse of EU national entry in irealand due to covid-19 situation

I recheck the Qatar website, they refering to IATA (timatic) immigration rules. https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/passport-visa-health-travel-document-requirements.htm It's strange and not right, but looks like the timatic system is really not allowing such journey for visa holders not residing in Ir...

Re: Urgent! urgent ! Spouse of EU national entry in irealand due to covid-19 situation

I heard about a guy who is a permanent resident in Canada and he ended up hiring a solicitor who went with him to airport. The people at the check-in desk kept denying him boarding flight after flight until he lawyered up. Many of these employees are clueless when it comes to visas and immigration ...

Re: IRP Renewal advice needed

https://www.immigrationboards.com/ireland/stamp-4-and-extended-leave-t293400.html You are right in that you can’t find anything online. In fact, unlike most developed countries, you cannot find most of Irish legislations online easily. That doesn’t mean they don’t exist and that doesn’t mean immigr...

Re: IRP Renewal advice needed

My understanding is that Stamp 4 requires you to be in the state on a full-time basis, so you cannot take up another full-time activity elsewhere outside the state. Sorry, I can't find any such official requirements for full-time job and full-time presence in the state. I check the official INIS we...

Re: IRP Renewal advice needed

Once you leave the state, you are not resident, ordinarily or otherwise, and you lose your IRP. Hi, There are a lot of people leaving state with IRP and returning back. I know people who absent more than half year. They are not loosing they IRP just because of absence, even more they must have (not...

Re: Irish returning with Non-EEA spouse after exercising EU treaty

The UK is still ANOTHER member state, for now! https://europa.eu/european-union/about-eu/countries_en The Union currently counts 27 EU countries. The United Kingdom withdrew from the European Union on 31 January 2020. Any kind of existing adaptation period doesn't change this common statement and d...

Re: Irish returning with Non-EEA spouse after exercising EU treaty

Hi, The "EU 3rty right" will not work for you in you home country i.e. in Ireland. Youre husband should obtain IRP stamp 4 here in Ireland. This is simple procedure in INIS. You will need to come in person together with your passports, marriage cert and proof of address. They will send the residenc...

Re: Irish returning with Non-EEA spouse after exercising EU treaty

Hi, I don't think that it was changed recently. You can check on this forum archive for tag 4EU FAM. It was a lot of treads that Ireland did not issue this EU cards if one of the passport from Ireland citizen and other from non-eu. INIS is clearly says requirements on the web page for such registrat...

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

Ireland does not have legislation on ‘virtual’ attendance on legal system. This means if you are required to ‘go to court’ (as is required for naturalisation purposes), you must physically visit a judge. I believe there no additional words about "physical body" presence in the court by law. It's ju...

Re: Need advise on the start date of Cat D employment visa

Hi,

You must start your job in 3 month from 2Y WP start date.
This is also known as "21 month" stamp 4 eligibility rule.
In breach of this rule you must apply for another WP, after existing one will expire.

Re: Visit Dublin on ILR/dependent visa?

Visa waiver program is only for certain cases like UK visa "C".
If you Wife don't have this UK "C" visa - She need to get valid Ireland Visa.
UK ILR or even EU Residence card (except 4EU FAM) - is not counted to enter Ireland.

Re: September Citizenship Ceremony 2019

My 2 cents..this september ceremony will go ahead with cases which are clear i.e. no travels in last year..rest would be processed post change in law... Worst cast entire ceremony will be postponed I'm afraid I have to disagree. The application form does not ask if you have had a full 12 months wit...
