Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Has anyone requested delivery to a different address? I think I'm still a few weeks away from hearing anything (application received 24th April 2019), but I was wondering whether I could give my work address for delivery as it's manned 24 hours and they will always sign for things.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

My application was received April 24th, so almost exactly a month later. Means there's a chance I might become Irish on Paddy's Day, which would be cool.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

29th March 2019 was a previous Brexit deadline so there might've been a big spike in the number of applications around then that they're currently processing. I got mine sent off in late April so I was hoping it might be processed soon, but it could be another few months by the looks of it.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I was under the false impression that a Notary/solicitor would be necessary at some point of the process regarding authentification of documents but I now see that isn’t the case and the « witness » can do that part. I'm glad you brought that up. My witness signed my photocopies of my passport as I...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

My thinking was that if I was due to get onto the FBR in the next month or so, then I could pre-emptively go through the passport application process, upload a photo etc so I could get one of the identity forms and sort witnesses and all the rest out before it arrives, and then pop it straight back ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hey guys, I'm an April applicant so seeing the March applications coming back at the moment makes me hopeful I'll get mine soon. Quick question, does anyone think it's worth starting the online passport application now or just wait until I definitely have the FBR certificate in my hand before doing ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hi everyone, I've been tracking things on the forum for a little while to get an idea of how long things will take, as my application went off in April. My timeline: Applied online 15/04/2019 Email to say documents received 24/04/2019 I'm currently expecting it to be about a year but it sounds like ...
