I think your friend has no option but to apply for FLR. If he does nothing at all, when his wife’s 2 year spouse visa expires, without an extension (or application for an extension in progress), she will be regarded as an overstayer. Tell your friend to try and get as many documents/letters as he ...

Correct! It doesn't matter who does it, as long as it is done.

I found the below from this source Note 7 We need 20 letters or other documents addressed to you jointly or in both your names. If you do not have enough items in your joint names, you may also provide items addressed to each of you individually if they show the same address for both of you. Example...

You could do it yourself. Take detailed (including measurements) photos of all the bedrooms, also pics of the Spam, living areas and bathroom(s). Then write a covering letter summarising the space/rooms available in the house and also state who is living at the property. You can also get an electrol...

Do they need to know? Azim, is this the VA4 form? I didn't enclose one for my husbands application and he still g...

Guys, I know exactly what you’re going through (having been in the same position as you in the past). Unfortunately, there is not much you can do except ring constantly and get your partners to queue up daily at the office, or just sit and wait quietly (the latter option is hardly doable consideri...

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I was sure that the "amnesty" was extended until October..? If they were going to refuse him, they would have done so long ago... I really wouldn't worry abouut it too much. They probably just have a few questions that they want to clear up. Just think positive ...

I had the same problen Azim. I used loads of calling cards from my mobile phone. I didn't submit my mobile bill; there was no point as they could not verify that the calls to the access number on my bill were used to call him. I did however submit a quarterly landline bill with maybe about 5 calls t...

1. how much do we need to show in our accounts? There is no set amount of how much you need to have in your bank account before you apply for a visa. You just need to show that you have sufficient funds to support both you and your husband without having to claim any public support, such as benefit...

It just means that the application has been processed, you won't know if the visa has been granted until you visit the Visa centre.

Good luck!!

Is that an appointment for an interview? I can only imagine the reason for it being so far away is because they are busy. Maybe at this time of year there are a lot of student applications clogging up the system. I wouldn't look at it as a negative thing. Still, an appointment (no matter how far awa...

You need to attest the photocopy of the passport. As for the sponsorship letter, you can send this without the need for a solicitor to draw up and attest..

Hey Ciran

It sounds like your application has been processed. The tracking service won't say what the result it, just that it's been processed. You won't know the outcome until you hot-foot it down to the VAC office you submitted your application to.

Good luck.. I hope it's a good outcome!

Time allowed out of the UK on a Spouse Visa?

How much time can a person spend outside the U.K. within the 2 year spouse visa period? Is it something like 3 weeks per 6 months?

Also, as long as you don't go over the recommended "away time", it shouldn't have any impact when applying for ILR/FLR should it?

Thanks

Depending on when you are getting married and how soon your partner would like to come to the U.K, you could apply for a spouse visa from Turkey. The spouse visa allows the holder to live and work in the U.K for a period of two years. At the end of the 2 year period, you can either apply for Indefin...

Try calling 0092512098999 and go to option 2(for urdu) and then option 6(for other queries). They normally answer the phone within a few minutes. Have your QML and GRY-PK number at hand as they will ask for this.

Good luck

Hi Sania

I've have heard from a few people who applied for spousal visas (via Gerry's), who received news within 7-10 working days. I wouldn't think the period of waiting would differ too much for a HSMP Visa.

Good luck with your application.

I just spoke to my Hubby again and it's transpired that the Visa was actually stamped on the 28th of March 10 days ago and we were only informed today (despite our daily enquiry) that the application had been processed. So, all in all, my Husbands application took just 10 working days. I hope everyo...
