Re: October 2013 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

There really isn't any point in people contacting the HO to chase things when it has only been a few months. There was obviously a huge backlog of applications submitted before the change in rules hence things will move more slowly. Chasing when its clear you aren't any different to other people ju...

Something definitely doesn't add up about the above timeline. adetaq, did you mean October instead of December? October would make sense.

Re: October 2013 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Congrats. I have yet to see any new rule approvals. I am sure this will have now affect the ceremonies and passport applications timelines. There was one from October 29th - the only one we know of so far. It should be borne in mind, though, that there seems to have been as many applications in the...

Yep, that was pqek. Still the only post-KOLL-change approval that we've heard from (or even fee deduction for that matter).

Re: November 2013 - Naturalization Application Timeline

Hi p2kin, Regarding payment taken, I have been charting this for October in a separate table in the October timelines topic. You can find it here . Once fee deductions start for November I'll create a November table here. The thing to bear in mind with averages like that is that you can have a fairl...

Re: November 2013 - Naturalization Application Timeline

Does anyone know how long it is currently taking from the time of application of BC with a NCS? I applied 6 December 2013 but have not yet even got a receipt confirmation nor have has my bank account been debited! You've got a while to wait. The HO is still on October applications. See here . Reali...

Re: Invitation or approval. I am confused!!

Hey desertlord, I can see why you were confused. The way that NCSs handle ceremonies can vary from one to the next. Hopefully after calling your NCS all will be clear. Congratulations on your approval.

Re: Invitation or approval. I am confused!!

The type of letter you get normally depends upon how you applied (direct application via post or through your council/NCS). This was the reason for my earlier question. As VR mentioned above, you now need to contact your council on the number that was provided and they will instruct you further. The...

This certainly looks like your approval. Can you remind us of your application timeline, including the method of application you used?

Re: photo query

It does say glue, but I wondered this too, since it had been different other application types, so I took my photo unglued to the NCS appointment saying I couldn't find a gluestick.
The NCS checker glued it for me, so clearly the HO are expecting it glued.

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

Hi rikken, To be honest there isn't much incentive for me to do December at the moment. Firstly, there isn't much of a story to tell on it yet and secondly I'm a mid-November applicant, so I've only been collecting the raw data up to the end of Nov. If I'm still waiting when December approvals start...

Re: October 2013 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

A pleasure missnorush! I applied only 3 days before you did, so let's see. For my own application I'm retaining hope of getting a decision before the end of January. That's probably a best case scenario for a mid-November app right now.

They don't need to be a professional, but if not then they must be over 25 years of age. Either way they must hold a British passport.

Re: Acknowledgement of Citizenship application

I have posted my application of British Citizenship and tracking shows it has been received on 26th October 2013, but I haven't received acknowledgement of receiving it. It has been more than 2 months. On UK Border website, it says "it will take 4 weeks to receive acknowledgement letter", what shou...
