I see office politics everywhere, people bitching around, bringing sweets, farting (like Mr. Wanderer mentioned). It may be completely different to other people but my first impression is bad!. May be the environment I'm in!! In India you could have afforded to loose some people on your side by tell...

I dont seem to understand the strategy of your job search, are you in touch with consultants? have they understood your key skills? as long as they know what you are capable of it should be fine. Many people do it, I did it too, but make sure that the two resumes dont reach the same company. :P Also...

This job is something i applied for some 25 days ago, so I completed the first round last week and the next week would be technical round.
Most here say that since it's summer many would be on holiday, so it might take sometime for response. The employers may not consider if you are still in India.

Babunrb,
IMHO, It's not about accent, it's about speaking effectively, people know that you have come from India and they don't expect you to speak in English accent anyway.
And the egg/Visa thing, better fry an omlette out of it, there's no way i would let the Egg perish just like that man :-)

I concur, every word you have written, bottomline is if you have applied for Tier1 and have a Visa, you ought to think positive, do all that's necessary to seek an opportunity, postively. If the environment is bad, people are bad, why in the first place have to sought a Visa?
