Re: Employment History- working holiday period

Oh ok. Good job i didnt apply last month then because i came in the UK on Jan 2009 as WHM and then got married and got spouse visa on 28th Aug 2010. So guess i would be able to apply for naturalisation after this date ? If you currently have indefinite leave to remain in the UK, and are married to ...

Re: May 2015 Naturalization Application TIMELINE ONLY

The same pattern (delayed April-June applications) held last year too. The reason was that staff was moved to help with the spike in the passport applications during the summer season. Perhaps this is a seasonal issue.

Re: English language requirement for naturalization.

Hello I am applying for my naturalization this month, I am a little confused with the English language requirement. I got my ILR in June 2014. The AN Booklet from June 2015 says the below - --------- 1. Have passed the Life in the UK test; AND EITHER 2. a. Have a speaking and listening qualificatio...

Re: Good character requirement and criminal records

Hi, thanks for your reply. I did not disclose anything to anybody as I was not asked before. My question is not to see in which way to twist the facts but to understand if I need to disclose convictions which do not even exist anymore by the law of where it happened. According to the law of my birt...

[ Not sure why you are even concerned about this.... The only reason is that HO might say why 2nd referee didn't fill the 1st referee section? Well i asked him to fill the 2nd referee section as he is my friend as the 1st referee section i left for a professional. Sorry it's just i am bit paranoid ...

Re: Good character requirement and criminal records

Did you disclose this in your previous application to Home Office? If you did, then you have no choice but declare it again. If you did not, then declaring it now may lead to them believing that you deceived them previously. 9 months non-custodial sentence is quite serious, as far as the UK is conce...

Re: Proposed change in rule - Tier2 dependent work

I wonder how the companies would respond to this insanity, with the trouble of replacing highly skilled employees on tier 2 dependant visas. It won't affect the highly skilled dependants. If they are highly skilled they will be able to apply for their own work visa. Only if they fit into the quota,...

Re: NEW AN(Citizenship) FORM MAY'2015

Stopping ILR holders from getting British citizenships will not reduce immigration. Since they already have ILR, they are not going anywhere. On the contrary, this will worsen their immigration statistics by increasing the number of foreign nationals living in the UK ( who would otherwise be classi...

Re: NEW AN(Citizenship) FORM MAY'2015

Ever heard of circumstantial evidence? I am not saying that HO will resort to these extreme methods of disqualifying applicants but you never know. HO wants to bring down immigration by hook or crook. With the Tories storming home with absolute majority they want to clamp down on immigration more t...

Is it true?

I read on one forum that Home Office from now on requires original BRPs to be submitted, even if applying through NCS. If applicants require BRPs for travel, they will have to ask Home Office to return it (which may take some time). Is this true?

Re: NEW AN(Citizenship) FORM MAY'2015

I very much doubt they will seek references from previos employers. First of all, this goes considerably beyond the scope of good charachter assessment for the purposes of nationality, as past employers can say whatever unverifiable things they want. For example, you may have left because of higher...

Hi All, I've got a master degree taught in english and have used it to get my Tier 2, extend it twice and apply for the ILR. They strategy would be to clear all old rule / pre biometric applications first. Currently people who applied in Jan are receiving approvals, even Feb are on h...
