another thought, what happen if a couple on Tier-1 in the UK having a baby, and the quota for that year has been reached. Will they reject the application for the newborn?

according to MAC report released in dec 2009, there has been 17,883 T1(G) applications approved and thats only out of the country applns. and the stat is showing numbers from sep 2008 till aug 2009. But claims from the govt is considerably low, can anayone explain? Probably it came from the number ...

Whether 5,400 limit is from july 19th or from starting of this april.
