Re: A decision has been made--succesful or not?

It means exactly what it says 'a decision has been made'. She will have to wait to find out when she picks up her documents.

Maybe to do with the spelling of her name or wanting to double check things to avoid 'multiple identities' in different names.

Re: Visa application before 09 July 2012

He was granted leave on the basis of family and private life, 10 year partner route after being the UK with no legal status, which means he needs 10 years on this route before he will qualify for ILR. The date granted is the date which determines the rules which apply as far as I am aware. He can no...

Re: Using Miss & Ms after married - Title to match passport

Miss is fine. I am married but use Miss or Ms but then again, my passport doesn't state a title.

There is no legal requirement to use Miss, Ms or Mrs.

Re: Visa application before 09 July 2012

but he applied for a leave to remain on 04 July 2012. He was granted a 10-year route partner visa
No, he requires 10 years residence as a partner/spouse as that is the leave that he was granted. It is not a normal spouse visa that he holds.

Re: Help needed with FLR (M) application asap!

1. So the 1st question which arises is which visa do I apply for? Is it FLR (M)? Yes, FLR(M). This will reset your clock to zero and you will need 5 years (2 x 2.5 year visas) on FLR(M) before you qualify for ILR. 2. Secondly, if it’s FLR (M), then how do I prove my English language eligibility? I ...

They must apply alone and you must not enter your ILR details.

IHS for a Tier 1 G dependent visa extension is £600 per applicant.

This question is only applicable to work permit holders, Tier 2, etc.

Section 9A Tier General migrants would be applicable in your case.

Re: I need an advice.

What is your current visa status?

FLR is not a 'magic ticket' visa to buy time (yes, HO are very aware of this trick) and it is difficult to get. You would need to explain your circumstances a bit more.

You have posted in the Tier 1 Entrepreneur sub forum, which might not be the correct place.

Re: Family Member of an EEA National

Are you living in the UK? Your post is not clear. If yes, she needs to apply for the same spouse visa again, VAF4A and it will be a new 5 year (2 x 2.5 year visas). In addition to Casa's questions, Surinder Singh route, if that is what you were planning, only works if your spouse was living in the E...

Re: Theoretical Question UK/Irish residency/citizenship

I know that Irish citizens are considered to automatically have ILR in UK, but is this reciprocated in Ireland to UK citizens? Sort of yes. They have the same status as Irish if resident in ROI And also can Irish citizens (having auto-ILR) become UK citizens under normal UK rules, i.e. after one ye...

If you don't meet the requirements for a Tier 1 Ent extension and cannot get a Tier 2 General sponsor, then no there are no options unless you are married to a British or EU citizen.

Why can you not extend your Tier 1 Ent?

If they do not submit evidence of their financial/income circumstances, unlikely they will get a visa.

HO is increasingly refusing visit visas due to ridiculous abuse of the visa in the past.

Re: Advise on British Citizenship

I thought, if you visit within 2 years then ILR would stay live. No it does not. ILR requires you to be settled in the UK to maintain the status. It is not a 'long term visa to visit every two years for a couple of weeks' status. There will likely be a simple process after Brexit, like the USA Esta...

Re: WHEN CAN WE APPLY?

Difficult to understand how you maintain yourselves if the bulk of salary is going into savings. Better preparation would have avoided this situation as you would have been aware that the same requirements were needed for an extension. If you/he does not meet the income requirement, he should apply ...
