Re: ILR Dependent - How soon does my dependent need to apply

Thank you for the acknowledgement of what we try to do.

FLR(M) is the correct form and she will be on a new 5 year route (2 x 2.5 year visas) to ILR.

Can you please search for the August 2015 TIMELINE thread and post your timeline there. We don't need another separate timeline topic.

Re: Switching from Tier 2 (ICT) to Spousal Visa

1. Should be fine then.

2. Yes, you have to pay the immigration health surcharge. You will not be able to submit your application if you do not pay it.

3. Your UK degree should be sufficient as far as I am aware.

Only you will know when you traveled or not. Suggest wait for the SAR and see what info it provides.

Re: ILR Dependent rejected

PBS calculator is no longer accepted for applications after 6th April.

She will need UK NARIC English Language Assessment or she will have to do the English SELT test (difficult if she doesn't have her passport).

Re: Changing employer - Urgent

Hi nisarmalik, Will I be breaking any immigration laws by working for my current employer until the 30th? I want to make sure that this does not affect any future visa applications. Were you in the same situation as me regarding changing employer? No, you won't and no, there won't be any issue in f...

Why didn't you extend her Tier 1 G dependent visa?

Did the PBS calculator show points for English?

Re: register children

You have to prove your PR so yes, you will have to apply for it and should have done that ages ago. Did you apply for retained rights of residence after your divorce? What is your nationality? What right to reside in the UK do you have? Does your partner appear on their birth certificates? How old a...

Re: register children

If the children were born BEFORE you got PR, you can register them as British on form MN1 under section 1(3) of the nationality act.

If they were born AFTER you got PR, they are automatically British and can apply for a passport directly.

Are the children from your marriage with your EEA spouse?

What is the immigration status of the children?

Where were the children born?

Re: MN1 Urgent Help

Date of application is the date you submitted at NCS. Old fees should apply.

HO is likely very busy and has a backlog due to the large number of applications submitted before the fee increase. You will need to wait and be patient.

Re: ILR and Tier1 dependent appication

You pay the whole fee when you book the appointment online. They no longer accept payments at the premium centre. Your appointment must be for you only, no dependents. Your spouse appointment must be for her only. The letter you get won't say 'ILR granted'. It will only say something about your BRP ...

You can only claim or backdate a claim to your date of ILR being granted as before that date, you were not entitled to claim.

ESOL is no longer accepted though. If you submit it, you might be asked at some point to provide another test or proof of English.

Re: About to claim benefits

You can claim child benefit now in YOUR name only (as your wife does not have ILR yet).

Child tax/working tax credits MUST be claimed in JOINT names with your spouse. No effect on her visa/ILR application.

Re: ILR and Tier1 dependent appication

1. You can use your letter you get at your ILR appointment or wait for your BRP. If your ultimate aim is to get citizenship for both of you, you need to keep the absence limits in mind for this as there is no discretion either. Not sure I fully understood this with comparison to your previous statem...

No, they are not.

An Adult Dependent visa is almost impossible to get and very expensive.
