Submitted date vs Appointment date?

Hi folks, Hope you are well. I am eligible for ILR via Tier 2 General 5 year route from 1st November 2018. Booked a premium service centre appointment on the 28th of September 2018, payment made on that day and taken from account the next day. My appointment date is 09th November 2018 and I am going...

Re: Tier 2 to ILR checklist

I believe that if you are relying on other people such as family or friends to help you financially, you need to provide 3 months worth of statements (including the other people who are helping you). Otherwise it is your latest payslip and bank statement (see Section 12C). I can only fathom that pe...

Tier 2 - ILR on 5 year route - Payslip questions

Dear all, My premium service center application based on 5 years on Tier 2 (initial visa on 29/Nov/2013, current expiry date is 03/July/2019) is on 10th November 2018. As you can understand, very stressed and nervous about it. I am literally reading Set (O) form everyday and have couple of questions...

Re: Tier 2 to ILR checklist

UKVI does only mandate the latest payslip and bank statement. Why people tend to take 3 months payslip and bank statement? I double checked on the Set(O) form 7/2018. Am I missing a trick here?

Re: When am I eligible for ILR?

You can only continue working for your previous sponsor until the start date on your new Certificate of Sponsorship, provided your previous leave is not expired, otherwise you will be breach of the Tier 2G rules. You need to check whether this was the case for you Zimba, thank you (again) for confi...

When am I eligible for ILR?

Hello all the readers of the forum and the Gurus, Seemingly easy question(s); but the stress of ILR got me. First my immigration history: 1. Tier 4 student: September 2010 - Jan 2012 2. Tier 1 Post Study Visa: Jan 2012 - Jan 2014 3. (In-country switch) Tier 2 General visa: [Date of approval/date on ...

Re: Eligibility for ILR if arrested but not charged

You need to tell UKVI about this.

You can check your police background here

Re: When to apply for ILR - Tier 2 General

Hi ap503, Thanks for your reply, it makes perfect sense as others pointed out too; book an online appointment and pick the paper based application. Slightly deviating from the topic, but worthwhile. While nothing can't be said with 100% certainty, let's logically analyse this. We will book same day a...

Re: When to apply for ILR - Tier 2 General

The online application is definitely easier. The paper form has way too many stupid questions. Anyway some guy on this forum said his application date was taken as the day he went to the PSC and my friend confirmed the same as he applied 28 days before so I have taken that approach too. My intervie...

When to apply for ILR - Tier 2 General

With technology, comes confusion. Okay, I admit I managed to confuse myself. I have read the SET(o) guidance and can't seem to understand this presumably simple idea. Scenario: Tier 2 General visa holder. Initially issued on 29 Nov 2013 from Tier 1 Post Study work visa, within the UK. Completing 5 y...

In-country switch from Tier 2 General to Tier 2 General

Dear all, Hope you all are having a good day. I am particularly interested to hear from anyone who has knowledge on, or has gone through the process below: 1. Switched to a Tier 2 General visa within UK without experiencing RLMT - as their previous visa category (such as Tier 1 PSW) allowed them to ...

She applied to stay in the UK as my dependent (I am also on Tier 2) on 8th August 2014. UKVI let her know today, the 19th of September that she did not apply using the corre...

Double the Gun is NOT always Double the FUN!!

Dear all, Please can you offer advice on the situation? Apologies as it involves a bit of story. I was in Tier 1 PSW and my wife was in Tier 4 General student when we got married [in UK] in May 2013. She received her Tier 1 PSW dependent visa in June 2013. She got an offer while on Tier 1 PSW Depend...

Re: Tier 2 and 180 days rule

Thanks TrueBlue and Manci for your replies. Trueblue, as you have pointed out correctly and you might have noticed I put a Schengen (?) visa when I put my query, :) I believe it's the company's headache to sort it out, which visa they need to get to me. My headache is just that I won't be in jeopard...

Tier 2 and 180 days rule

Happy New Year to one and all. Hope you are all fine and well. I converted to Tier 2 G, valid from December 2nd, 2013. I understand I can not stay outside of UK for more than 180 days in a year, that is for my case first year would 02/Dec/2013---> 02/Dec/2014. If I do, ILR status in future would be ...

Re: UK Tier2 Application Online application - question help

Hi, I am applying for Tier2 general visa from India and using the online application form. there is a question - "Have you made an application to the Home Office to remain in the UK in the last 10 years?" I had travelled to the UK in 2010 on ICT while in the previous company. So should I answer the...
