Re: Out of time application

Hello I'm an August applicant. I am worried because I have a single gap of 15 days (out of time application). But according to page 23 5th stanza of Long Residence and Private Life " For applications made on or after 9 July 2012 an applicant applying for an extension of stay or ILR on the basis of ...

Re: set(O)

I have called UKBA's 0870 number this morning to see if there is any progress on my application. You never get an answer from them unless your case has been completed/a decision has been made however, this morning lady on the line told me that they are currently dealing with September applications ...

Re: long waits

This is my assumption based on my previous experience with UKBA postal applications I think if your visa was to be rejected, you will get result in less than half the time it usually takes to issue a visa.. previously when i applied for Tier 2, first time it took 5 weeks to get a rejection , i re-a...

13 Months and the Waiting continues

A horror story from whatdotheyknow. This applicant has been waiting for the decision since FEb. 2012 and is treated in a (I think) dismissive manner by the authorities.

I had to wait for 9 months and I know it is difficult. The only way to keep your head straight is to think that the delay in only due to the backlog that the home office has to clear and has no reflection of ones individual application. Also, it looks like that are clearing out July and August appl...

Are there members who applied in May, June, July and are still waiting to hear from the home office (the first decision - not appeal)? I am an August applicant and am still waiting. Re: September applicant

Hi, Thanks for the reply. The visa was expiring last week of March and I applied the first week of March. Re: You are not alone my friend

This is true. The August applicants who have already received a response are the few lucky ones. I wouldn't email the home office, having watched the dispatches though. That's like adding oil to the fire. Those who are still thinking about applying, think a year, ignore the 6 months service standard...

Re: Future Application

How did you deal with the prospective employers? This is another arena I would have tread carefully. Can't believe 10 years, I have been putting my head down studying , working and after 10 years I am still stuck in the same Dogma. I have withdrawn all of my applications (post-interview stage, offe...
