Re: You are not alone my friend

This is true. The August applicants who have already received a response are the few lucky ones. I wouldn't email the home office, having watched the dispatches though. That's like adding oil to the fire. Those who are still thinking about applying, think a year, ignore the 6 months service standard...

Re: Future Application

How did you deal with the prospective employers? This is another arena I would have tread carefully. Can't believe 10 years, I have been putting my head down studying , working and after 10 years I am still stuck in the same Dogma. I have withdrawn all of my applications (post-interview stage, offe...

(God knows if I'd even be able to travel by then) Also, not to mention I would have to then apply for Spouse v...

Re: august applicant

Well, we're dealing with a "closed, secretive and defensive culture" organisation here. So, that makes sense. I just called them again today to be told off "Why do you keep on calling us every week? Please continue to wait" . That guy didn't even ask for my reference number. Thanks for confirming d...

There is no point in speculating how the home office works. They have to do what they do. The opacity of the process is a problem as acknowledged by the home secretary as well, but there is absolutely nothing one can do (other than making noises) to fasten the process or make the process more transp...

So !!! this is how our files and documents get handled in the UKBA... by people who are not even professionals. Our case workers earn 6.75 and yet we are expected to have huge amounts in our bank account where statements are concerned. Paying 991 and more, the culture of practice needs to change......
