Re: UK Immigration Status Help!

Hi member The refusal letter stated that he didn't have enough reasons to return to the UK, something like 'it didn't satisfy the officer'. I can't find the letter, but will let you know as soon as I find it. When he was being interviewed, the officer saw this 'illegal' status on her screen which mu...

Re: A never ending journey - REFUSED!!

Hi there While my husbands application is under reconsideration, how can he prove his status in the UK is legal? We are looking to rent a place and the landlord needs proof of a visa. Would the Ireland resident card be enough? What if they don't understand what 'spouse of an EEA citizen' means? If a...

Re: Travelling from Ireland to UK without a FP

Thank you so much Jambo. Just thought I'd share our experience. We were returning from overseas and my husbands family permit had expired so we decided to come through Ireland as my husband has a valid Ireland resident card. We were worried how it would work out as we had a lot of luggage as well an...

Travelling from Ireland to UK without a FP

Hi My non-eu husband has a 5 yr Ireland GNIB resident card. If we were to travel from Dublin to Heathrow, would we have any problems travelling without a valid UK family permit. Last time my husband has a valid UK FP but there were no controls in the UK. We can't remember if his passport (for a visa...

Re: Anyone can help me about applying non-eea residence card

If my husband and I (living in the UK via ss route) wanted to travel in Europe would he be able to travel on his Ireland EEA resident card as long as its valid for, because that wouldn't be our home country?

Re: A never ending journey - REFUSED!!

Jbminger Did your letter say you had to send in your passport? They already know we had requested our passports back for travel, so I'm assuming they will give it on paper. Also, if they issue it on paper, we can enter the country with that right? I emailed Ms LB (as I have been in contact with her ...

Re: Arriving in UK on EEA2 Residence Card

If my husband gets a RC via SS route, why would it be a problem boarding the plane with a A4 paper RC? Also, do I need to be travelling with him every time?!
I was under the impression the rules were the same for RC issued for a spouse of an EU and RC issued via SS route.

Hello there, I am a Finnish citizen considering to move to UK and search for a job there. I am currently self employed in Finland, but I am shutting down my business by the end of June and move to UK and find a job there. Re: Returning to the UK after travel

Hi there My husband has his Ireland GNIB card and our original marriage certificate. Also has the residency stamp in his passport for Ireland. Will he be allowed back to the UK from overseas? Isn't a EuFam 5 year residency card enough proof that he is a spouse of an EU national. We will be travellin...

Re: A never ending journey - REFUSED!!

How long do re-considerations usually take? Do they send you a letter if they are going to look over it again or will they just reply with another outcome?

I'm becoming really impatient :(

Re: A never ending journey - REFUSED!!

The refusal letter we received is from Liverpool and signed on 'behalf of the sec of state' so I'm assuming shes not our caseworker. The original application was sent to Durham. Where should we send the application for re consideration? Durham or Liverpool?? Please answer quickly as we want to send ...

Re: A never ending journey - REFUSED!!

From what I understand applying for EEA2 is not compulsory, its just gonna help get a job. So I guess theres nothing to appeal, you are here legally and that it. Personally I would ask for a review of their decision and supply evidence of accomodation. This may or may not be helpful to the OP. The ...

Re: A never ending journey - REFUSED!!

Yes, I do understand the full process. It wouldn't have been a problem if we were still in the UK. We requested our passports back for travel and it got delayed to August so we left for overseas after my husbands FP had expired (in April). If we were to make a new application, they would need our pa...
