Re: ILR in may 2014 - will Job change have an effect?

Vidyakrish,

Sincerest apologies. The krish in your nick gave me the wrong impression that you were male. You dont have to be on a job as far as you have met the requirements.

Once you get your ILR the damocles sword of financial targets will vanish altogether.
Good Luck.

Re: Form AN - "when did you arrive"?

GUIDE AN says... 2.1 Enter the day you first arrived with a view to staying in the UK on a long-term basis, and the airport or seaport through which you then entered. If this is less than 5 years before the date on which we receive the application, or less than 3 years before this date if you are ma...

Re: ILR in may 2014 - will Job change have an effect?

You should be absolutely fine. Worst case you will be without a job for 3 months prior to May 2014 when you apply. You need to show the required Income in 12 out of the 15months and since you are on a perm job I presume you are swapping jobs at the month end. And when you join the new place there wi...

Re: Question re referee

Dear Humanvoid, I am not sure how the process of appointing a Head Teacher works here. But I know the Indian systems are based on the British ones and back in India the Head teacher usually starts off as a teacher and goes up the scale and finally based on any vacancy and from the seniority pool a p...

Re: ILR on the basis of HSMP JR and Naturalisation

I did not get your question. I am myself from the first lot of HSMP's and I never took any english language test. I got my ILR. I believe if you have the degree taught in English equivalency recognised by NARIC and your LIUK test (if you have already provided this with your ILR check the appropriate...

Re: ILR on the basis of HSMP JR and Naturalisation

HSMP JR will be applicable as far as your ILR goes. You will have to comply with all the requirements for you to be Naturalised as Citizenship is a privilege and not a right!!(I have heard this bit again and again and again and am getting it out of my system) :D

Why the half measures?
If you want to apply go ahead and do it 28days before rather than wait for a further 2 weeks or applying 1 day before the fee hike comes about!

Re: One quick query - AN application

This is a common mistake amongst Indian Expats. They think if their spouse has a car and insurance automatically they can drive it, when they are not included in the policy to drive that vehicle. You are lucky to get off lightly with a FPN that too the wife had to cop it. If stopped it could have ea...
