Re: Elderly Parent - Settlement Application Refused - Hilarious reason

Hi, can you please help me understand how can I prove that my mother needs emotional support. All I have is a note from the medical doctor and psychiatrists that believe she should not be left unattended and should stay close to her family. Is there anything else that I can provide as an evidence? T...

Re: Elderly Parent - Settlement Application Refused - Hilarious reason

hi All, The ECM maintained the decision and maintained the reason that there are alternate arrangements available in the home country of the applicant. This is despite the fact that we explained in the cover letter that the arrangements are only short-term. ECM put a blind eye to the clarifications....

Re: Elderly Parent - Settlement Application Refused - Hilarious reason

Thanks for the clarification CR001, yes, we applied for an Elderly dependent visa ( I keep confusing it with ILR as I believe this is what they would have issued if the application was successful) Can you please tell, Is it okay if I ask in the same thread on how the hearing date for her appeal can ...

Re: Expediate ILR Appeal after the hearing date

it was refused as the ECO believed that there are alternate care arrangements available for the look after of my elderly parent.

The question is, can the hearing date be brought forward and if yes, how can this be done?

Re: Overstay / Illegal in the UK - More than 18 years

Many thanks for your reply, All I know from a common friend is that he is illiterate and was initially told by his in-laws that his documents are all sorted when they threw him out of the house. So for a couple of years, he imagined the same but it was only after 5 or 6 years that somebody told him ...

Re: Overstay / Illegal in the UK - More than 18 years

hi Vinny, Thanks for the reply. He is from Pakistan and I have no idea how is he surviving her. I guess his son is now 16 and he only saw it twice. Once he saw him when he was 6 or 7 and at that time his ex-wife came up and threatened that she would call the police if he does not leave I guess the m...

Re: Overstay / Illegal in the UK - More than 18 years

Thanks for the reply Vinny, As I mentioned earlier, I do not see the stay of that man legal since he never renewed any of his documents after coming to the UK. He has no documents on him and has not seen his wife for almost 15 or 16 years. so the references that you have given does not apply on his ...

Re: Elderly Parent - Settlement Application Refused - Hilarious reason

The first part seems fine, but don't add any of the text around your "question" section as your reasoning is poor. You should hold the government of Country Y responsible for your illness and injury as that is where you are currently, the situation of the country has nothing to do with the UK. Also...

Re: Elderly Parent - Settlement Application Refused - Hilarious reason

Country Y would be considered cheap for care compared to the USA for example. As my links I already provided state, you have to prove that the care is not affordable and available in the home country (i.e. a carer for example or an elderly home for example), which is difficult to prove for Country ...

Re: Elderly Parent - Settlement Application Refused - Hilarious reason

Yes, I am a Dual National and the reason for me to not being able to come back to the UK is that I do not have alternate arrangements for my mothers look after in my home country - This was the core reason for the application and grounds of appeal as ECO missed to understand this point

Re: Elderly Parent - Settlement Application Refused - Hilarious reason

Unfortunately there is no quick fix. Your need to appeal first with strong appeal points. Entry Clearance Manager with review your docs. If he is convinced with you docs appeal point then he take appeal back and issue you visa. This takes around 4-5 months and most ECM maintains the decision in ECM...

Re: Elderly Parent - Settlement Application Refused - Hilarious reason

Thanks son7777, It seems like I am still not being able to explain my point. The problem is not that the medical support is not available in my home country. I have proved through medical records that my mother needs personal care, something that can only be offered by a close relative. It has got n...
