UKbabble, the question here is proportionality. I know it is the duty of an immigration officer to establish the status and motives of an entrant. His or her duty is to preserve and protect the integrity of UK borders and to keep out unwanted guests, if the ECO hasn't already done so. However, there...

You marriage will be recognised in the UK, provided it is recognised in India. You might not have to deposit it in the Foreign Registry Office.

You will not be required to register it on your arrival back to the UK , as this will be illegal.

The age difference on its own, should not form the basis of a refusal. So long as you are over 21. For them to refuse you on marriage of convenience grounds, there would have to be other factors in addition to the age difference, which would possibly make them believe that you relationship is one of...

One has to realise that only a victim of facial discrimination would know whether or not they have been a victim of such hideous act. It might be the case that the officer was just undertaking routine checks, but the length of time he was kept at the airport before being let through, seems extremely...

Okay John, I am getting there. Ok, I have heard of cases where people were asked to withdraw their appeals before making another application, or to wait for the outcome of their appeals before proceeding with any change of status. Would it no be within the Secretary of State powers, to defer an appl...

Sorry John, but this is the area that was coming to my mind. your marriage or civil partnership did not take place after a decision was made to deport or remove you from the United Kingdom; Based on you response, there is no legal basis to it , is there? Can they not challenge that the original leav...

Would the approval of a FLR(M) application not be subjected to a positive outcome from the appeal? Is there not a likelihood, or the case, that a decision on that, could be deferred until the outcome of ongoing court proceedings? Could it not be construed as a act to suppress immigration authorities...

You case does not reach the threshold for your matter to be referred to the Criminal Casework team. If you are a persistent offender, they might do that, but if it is a one of offence, i don't think you will be penalised for it.

Someone is declared brankrupt only by a court order. If you haven't got a court order, or a judge has not pronounced you bankupt, you are not.

A few odd debt doesn't make one bankrupt. It is a legal concept.

You won't qualify for citizenship as Spouse of British Citizen until 2011. Bad credit will not affect citizenship application, but bankruptcy certainly will. One of the requirement to qualify under that category is that you provide your marriage certificate, and the birth Certificate or Passport of ...

I don't think VAF2 form stated on this link is the right form to fill Immigration2009. It is for Employment or UK ancestry, and access to a UK child doesn't fit that criteria. The form to fill is a normal Family Visitors visa with the additional required information, and he/ she will receive a 12 mo...

I don't think that is right Kesh. Inorder for the spouse of a British Citizen to qualify for EEA Family permit, the British Citizen has to have lived and exercised a EU treaty rights in another member state with the non-EEA partner prior to entering the UK.
