I haven't made a budget chart exactly ... Hi Phil, I think it would be a bonus if you prepare a monthly budget for the following reasons ... 1) It is a summary where ECOs can clearly see your average monthly income. ie they can double check items on your bank statements. Of course, your outgoings a...

Hi Phil, have you prepared a monthly budget where is shows your income and expenses? If you do, then you would address your issue there.

It is very likely that your friend's child would be able to have his father's first name as his surname. I know a lot of close friends with their children taking their fathers' first names as surnames.

Other members of the board may have an input into the legal aspect of the issue.

At the VAC they have a checklist form of items that they use when dealing with spousal visa applications. As I understood, it needs to be signed by the applicant at the time of the application. It clearly has a check box for marriage certificate. Now, I don't know if you have a copy of this but what...

My inspection report was submitted to VAC after over three months it was written and didn't encounter any problem. I don't know if there are guidelines with regard to this but I believe time limits of visa application documents apply for items that may change over time. i.e. payslips, bank statement...

Thank you lesley15. In our case we didn't buy the flat so we don't have a mortgage. But we will show we are up to date with our rent payments. We still need something that proves the tenancy is secure and the accommodation is available for our own exclusive use. With regard to this, the only evidenc...

Last time I checked it should be a genuine job offer on a headed letter and needs to comprise 1) job title 2) salary 3) how long it will be open for It would also have a strong credibility if it is accompanied by a letter from an accountant saying the turnover of the company and stating they can aff...

Wife's and son's British passports at the Home Office

My solicitor advised us to send original documents to UKBIA when making my application under HR (Article 8 ) in Feb 2006 (haven't heard anything yet). My wife's and son's original British passports were included. I am now in the process of leaving the UK to apply for a re-entry clearance. My plan is...

We have already prepared a consent letter from my wife.

What I would like to know is what happens at the airport when people like me leave with the intention of applying for re-entry clearance?

Thanks for your reply UKBAbble. I don't even know what I am expecting at airport but my worries came from people on this board who were not happy the way they were treated at the airport by IOs. The question is, am I going to be in a position whereby it will be difficult for me to handle IOs queries...

But is anything I should worry for my son on my way out at the airport?

I am a failed asylum seeker and currently in process of leaving the UK to apply for a re-entry clearance. My wife and son who is 3 are both British citizens. My plan is to take my son with me as this is the only practical arrangement we came up with, given our own financial circumstances. I read on ...

Thanks John. I have got one more question which I believe is an extension of my original question. On VAF4 (6.9.14 Does your sponsor receive any money from public fund?) To answer your questions

1) Yes, the housing cost comes out of the actual income, i.e. £83/week
2) There is one child in the household who is 3 years old.

lesley15,

You said you have just had a hearing, so i am assuming you succeeded at the appeal stage. If that is the case, were your application refused the first time around because of maintenance?

Bye the way the job offer thing, yeah i have been working on it but it is a long shot.

Thanks John for your prompt reply. As long as my wife continues to do what she is doing now, I believe the worst case scenario is being in exactly the same situation we are now. There are no additional public funds that are being claimed because I am here. So I tried to work out our current income a...
