They are refusing many people because of this issue aleastv3/4 people been refused for not providing original id. As I believe after divorce home Office shouldn’t ask for sponsor id as they have established her id in past.

I think he’s right but if your ex willing to support you in future then no harm sending original just make sure she will support you whenever home Office makes any enquiry.

You didn't mention in your cover letter you're divorce also in sponsor section it says you can't get hold of your sponsor did you tick that box ? It's crazy to send your application back.

Id was valid ? Also it was certified copy or normal

You don't have to submit original bills if you doing fast track you need only id copy if you doing normal with full track of your immigration history you need id certified copy.

Since Brexit lot of things has been changed personally I feel if your divorced they can't ask you to provide your ex id.

If you do fast track you don't need certified copy only your id copy is enough plus it's free no charge you will get your details by email in 20 days if you want application copies etc then you need to pay £10 plus certified id copy from any solicitor

What I understand from your post is if 5 years already completed then you don't need to apply for ROR. ?

What if you don't have valid id ? Copy I have it's expired after divorce.
