Up standing - You harboured a known immigration offender, colluded in deception and expect to have the use of the law in the UK to gain rights for a person that certainly does not follow said law. And the UK is to be grateful as he paid a bit of tax - yippee. I doubt he has even covered the c...

Yeah I thought it would be like that, we're just trying to look at the options at the moment really, the costs of getting her residence in the UK are high and from what you're saying there, we would need to get her UK residence before we could make the possible move to France, she currently has a UK...

Oh she's gonna be a bit happy about that I think, the only problem at the moment is that neither of us speak French (I speak German to an intermediate level but I really don't want to move there) but there is always time to learn. :) Would we need to apply for Entry clearance for her in this case as...

No worries man, like I said, I've been in the same boat, and to some extent I still am.

And Thailand is a son of a bitch unless you have enough capital to open a bar or something.

Spouses of EEA citizens must apply for entry clearance to the UK in the form of an EEA Family Permit which is valid for 6 months. This allows the non-EEA national to work and reside in the UK once granted. No way, I didn't know that, so does that work the opposite way around too ? i.e. Once my girl...

It seems that if you are not a third country national the checks on you are not so tough! I hope you're not including the UK in that statement. My girlfriend is a Japanese student and gets nothing but hassle from the BIA everytime she tries to re-enter the country. Oddly, my Russian student gf has ...

I guess the answer to the question of whether or not it would be worth it is up to you, personally I would definitely rather live in the United States given the choice, but everybody is different.

Germany is generally easier to migrate to than Britain, unless your wife is British or something, you should apply to Germany instead, especially if that is your chosen destination anyway.

I don`t know if anyone recalls the US proposal in 05/2007 to introduce visas for Muslims from EU Countries, including Britain? It was later abandoned as it was felt to be too complicated and discriminatory. Its likely that this latest move is part of the same process.. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/ne...

The irony is that now Romania, Poland ... will have to import massively low skilled workers from non-white countries and the kids of these migrants will have the right to migrate to west european countries ... When I looked into this a few years ago I was told that I would have to stay with the sponsoring employer for a minimum of 3 years, after that then you can usually look elsewhere, but since you were just renewed it could be a different situation.

She needs to be a citizen to sponsor you but I would imagine that since you are here on HSMP anyway then you could possibly be eligible for H1.
