Hiya I came to the UK as an asylum seeker in 2000 but left and returned home in 2006. In 2009 I returned to the UK on a spouse visa. Penalty Charge Notice

Hiya My husband has just applied for BC. About a year ago he got a Penalty Charge Notice for stopping on double yellow lines. We paid the fine when it was due and there was no problem. When I filled in the form, it asked for any unspent convictions , so he has ticked no. But when reading the guide i...

Photograph

Hi Just wondering if referees need to sign the back of the photograph for a BC application. I have filled my full name in and signed it, but is it a requirement that they sign it? Also I have a photo that I used for the ILR a year ago, can I use this or will they require a new photo. I havent change...

Should you write in the box provided the certificate number so HO can 100% find the record, I'm paranoid they may request the certificate and delay the application. (I already passed the test to apply for Settlement).

Hi Jambo,

Thanks very much for your reply. I will have to find out if she holds qualifications relating to Insurance, if she doesn't can she still be a referee.

Also can somebody who has an expired British Passport be a referee?

Many thanks

Hiya

Would a friend that has known me for 8 years and works as an Agent for Saga Insurance be ok to sign my BC application. Also would the same person be ok to sign a British Passport application?

Many thanks

He is thinking of renewing his passport next week while in London, as we live quite away from London. Do you think when he submits his ...

Hiya I spoke to Home Office the other day regarding this, they said that you can request the passport back you just need to call them. They said you should leave it 3 months until you request it back, but as its been 5 months there should be no problem. If you give them about 10 days they can copy a...

A few weeks after he has a wedding to attend in his country. Would he be allowed to travel after he submits his application, because I read somewhere that he ...

Address of Employer.

Hiya Husband is applying for BC, he is a self employed Taxi driver. On question 3.3 it asks for the name of employer or business and in 3.4 the address. He gets his work through a taxi firm but he is self employed. Therefore should he supply the details of the taxi firm in these sections or leave it...
