Re: Long Residence - Contradicting rules and guidance wording

It will be the latter. You can no longer rely on the historic 10-year qualifying period: Paragraph CR 6.1. of Appendix Continuous Residence sets out that the continuous residence periods will be calculated by counting back from the relevant date. This means that an applicant cannot rely on a histori...

Re: Long Residence - Contradicting rules and guidance wording

There are 3 bullet points you need to know, which are covered below. It is very clear and self-explanatory. If your 10 years completed after 11 April 2024, then the 548 limit no longer applies: These transitional arrangements preserve the position that continuous residence will be broken if an appli...

Re: SET M ILR cash savings

You need to show at least an annual income of £18,600 to be granted ILR. To use your cash savings, you need an extra £16,000 on top of that. If you do not want to show any income and want to rely fully on your cash savings, you need minimum cash savings of £16,000 + £18,600 = £34,600 , held in the b...

Re: 10 year ILR route with more than 180 days gap

Thanks Zimba. So that means I am falling in more than 184 days absence (my absence is 190 after calculating correctly) but overall less than 548 days. I was on medical reasons for the continuous 192 days, so if I provide the doctor's medical reason, is that ok to go ahead with ILR? If yes, is there...

On the link of tier 1 family members page, there is no mention of funds maintenance requirements for the extension applications if I am not missing anything. The 1890£ each dependent is for initial application or is it for the extension as well? There is no such requirement for an extension And if ...

Yes, you should have applied using form SET(O). SET(M) is ONLY for people who had 60 months of visas under the family route NOT skilled worker dependants.

Yes, you should input the previous incorrect SET(M) application number. Any refund will be given probably after the new SET(O) application is decided

Re: ILR for Tier 1 dependents

The fact that you got ILR is not that important for their extension. They can extend their current visa in the UK as Tier 1 dependants and that will be for 3 years. The links are on this page: https://www.gov.uk/tier-1-entrepreneur/family-members If their visa expires while outside the UK and they d...

Thanks Zimba. Just to remove uncertainty, is your answer "No" for "Don't we need to add evidence of financial support from the sponsor? Evidence of accommodation? etc ..." or for "Does it mean that those documents are enough?" No such documents are needed. UKVI will ask for any extra documents if n...

You seem to be overthinking way too much 1. That question is not about getting a raise. It is about being above the threshold continuously over the last 6 months 2. The answers on the form do not change her eligibility criteria. As long as she gets paid above the threshold her annual income becomes ...
