ILR Application - English Language requirement

Post by shaf2008 » Thu Jan 02, 2020 2:33 pm

HI

My wife's ILR is due in February 2020 . I have recently changed my nationality to British and both of us are full time employed. When i Looked at the English language requirement i can see we have few ways to fulfilling it. I checked the Naric route and i do not want the hassle of going to the university and getting the letters from them about the medium of instructions. we are happy to attend the test instead .

But in the ILR application there was an option with IELTS. she did an IELTS in 2015, in my understanding it expires after two years, can i still use it to full fill the English language requirement

Thanks

Shaf

She needs a new test.

An expired test can only be used if it was users in a previous application, which doesn't apply to her as pbs dependents do not have to meet the English requirement for a dependent visa.

She needs B1 form a current test and test provider per HO approved list or UK naric ela and comparable assessments for a foreign degree.

SET (O) APPLICATION SUBMITTED - Mistakes Made while applying . How can i rectify

Post by shaf2008 » Sun Feb 09, 2020 6:05 pm

HI All,

I have applied for my partners ILR This afternoon. I made a mistake by selecting no to passing life in the UK test . She passed the test last week and received a reference number . I thought i could make changes at the last step of the online application process , also there was no option to go back to rectify the life in the UK test question ( Dont know why )

I have stared her application few days back saved it and made few changes as we got all the documents ready .

The fee is paid and i have an appointment booked for Wednesday for the cliometrics.

what can be done at this stage.

Appointment at UKVCAS SOPRA STERIA CROYDON.

when i looked at the fees for the bio metrics there were few options available. I also saw one which was free and i choose to proceed with it. They accepted it, How come they provide you free service.

Regards

Sha

Just wrote a letter and scan and upload with the liuk test. Stop listening to "friends".

You got a free appointment. What exactly are you expecting as advice about fees?
